The hostel has a little bit tired facilities. The hostel needs to do something with some squeaky beds and wood flooring planks. People with deep sleep don't care, but those who is sensitive may be annoyed. Some problems with shower cleanup because of tired sanitary engineering but not really critical.

It's a good hostel for Ukraine but doesn't compare to \Western Europe hostels.

I really liked this hostel at first, the vibe is great, and the soviet artifacts were a nice touch so I ended up extending my stay a few times. But when I came back the second time, I made a reservation over the phone, (since I was so impressed) however the next day when I showed up they had raised the price 60 hrivna's. Apparently they couldn't be bothered to tell me that before, and I had to pay the extra unexpected cost. Not cool. Still the wifi is good, and the breakfast is basic but filling

A bit tired and tatty, with no particular character, it is, however, in a good location, although these days there are several hostels in the centre of Lviv.

I liked the hostel, except of one thing - they don't give you the key to your room, even to private one. So you have to ask the people on reception every time you need to open your room

Was recommended this hostel by a friend. Stayed during the off season so it was quiet. No lockers in rooms, cleanliness was average. Was a different staff member every evening so was never really sure who was on duty although staff were helpful with recommendations when asked. Lots of cool ex soviet stuff to look at, but lacked a general atmosphere of a backpackers hostel. Gave us everything we needed to explore Lviv at a reasonable price.

Great hostel, nice location and very cool decoration. There's also a legend going on about someone named "Jesus", which you should definately ask the staff for :)

Very nice and cool place, very cozy, neat. Situated in an old building which gives a plus to it's atmosphere. Equipped with loads of books everywhere that you can enjoy if you know cyryllic alphabet and russian. You can also dress up like a russian official in one of the uniforms that are hanging here and there, or "use" a gun or play on the accordion :) Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful time in the hostel. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

This hostel in Lviv, Ukraine is fantastic. While a basic hostel compared to Western Europe, what made this place was the staff. Not only are they extremely helpful and speak English fluently, they aren't merely going through the motions and really want to help you. This hostel was one of the main reasons my stay in Lviv was as awesome as it was. My sincerest thanks to the Staff at the Kosmonaut Hostel!

Kosmonaut Hostel! My First stay was very pleasent, from a friendly, fun, and most importantly understanding staff to the people staying at the hostel. My favorite part while staying at the Kosmonaut had to be when some guy did all his laundry. Oh yes, that laundry was awesome. Its like that story... there was a story wasn't there... Well my favourite thing about that story was the Drinks during.

Great place to stay in an awesome city. The staff really are as friendly as everyone says. The location is as central as you would want. I stayed in a private twin which was excellent complete with funky retro kitsch soviet era furnishings. It also has a great ethos - not a partying place but great fun and very friendly which means you can sleep as it's less noisy than many cheap hotels. I'd recommend it without hesitation and would stay there if I visited Lviv again.

Really enjoyed my time at this hostel. Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. 3-4 mins walk from main sqaure. No lockers but safe behind 24 hour desk to keep valuables. Really clean and well equiped kitchen. 2 common areas for socializing. Would recommend, and if I ever return to L'viv I would be more than happy to stay here again.

Staff was amazing. Vodka tasting was a lot of fun. Mold in all the showers and cleanliness was lacking.

I highly recommend this hostel. The staff are absolutely amazing, they're all very friendly and eager to give travel tips and advise about the city. Special thanks to Bogodan for his hospitality. Good breakfast, very clean hostel, good wifi, GREAT location (1 block from the main square). Only suggestion for improvement is to have lockers for valuables. Visit Lviv, its beautiful!

crazy cool hostel, weird soviet and cosmonaut stuff all over the walls, good showers and good beds, right in the center of the city, the building is a bit old but the hostel part is more than good enough, plus hot girls at the desk!
