crazy cool hostel, weird soviet and cosmonaut stuff all over the walls, good showers and good beds, right in the center of the city, the building is a bit old but the hostel part is more than good enough, plus hot girls at the desk!

This hostel had awesum decorations! The rooms were spacious, there were numerous bathrooms and the location was great :)

Good location, good beds, the four bed dorms are next to the kitchen which means you can get a wake up call at 6 am when the staff prepare their coffee and talk very loudly. Cleanliness is basic but it's a place to stay.

before going to lviv everybody told me i should stay at the kosmonaut..well i couldnt figure out why....its a priity normal hostel with good and bad things...the good thing is the location...the bad thing is that there are always too many people there....my room was next to kitchen..and it was hard to sleep..always somebody cooking or drinking or smoking or chating...as for the rest..its just like any other cheap place

The Kosmonaut is a frequently visited hostel by Peace Corps Volunteers. We appreciate the discounted price but the hostel bathrooms are often quite dirty and there are no lockers or places to store your valuables. Breakfast in the morning is a nice perk and coffee all day long is appreciated too. The hostel is in a good location right off the Opera promenade.

We are 63 and have never been hostelling before so we were nervous but it turned out to be a really good experience. A good breakfast is included even on arrival and the staff is friendly and helpful. All the facilities we needed, and a big friendly common room .The only minus is that some of the mattresses are really a bit too thin. However I would recommend the Kosmonaut to anyone from impoverished backpackers to pampered sixty year olds more used to room service and ensuite. Tony Bevan
