Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious enough and had a lot of storage space. Bathrooms were pretty much clean, with western toilets. Very strategic location, right across the Old Town and only about half an hour walk to the start of the hike up Cangshan. Very satisfied and highly recommended.

We found dirty sheets and they changed fastly , no light in the bathroom and there a dropping from the roof

I want to preface this review by stating that my partner and I are not picky when it comes to hostels. We stayed in a total 8 different hostels and definitely "roughed" it through Southwest Asia. The Lily Pad was our least favorite hostel during the trip. Although the staff was very nice, helpful, and helped us arranged travel, we found the bathroom is be very unclean (with a consistent ring of water around the toilet and a floor that hadn't been mopped in awhile) and the room to be musty.

Nice hostel with nice atmosphere. It's just outside the old town, so perfect to walk around and rest during the night. They have a rabbit pet! The staff in very friendly and ready to help but a little bit slow. But we are on holidays, so no rush!

The bathrooms in this place were immaculate. The staff are helpful; they helped me to get a bus ticket and even walked me to the stop to make sure I caught it all right. The location is close enough to walk to the old town or the mountain very easily.

This is a great place. Clean, good location, good price. The bathrooms are really nice and so are the beds. They also have huge storage lockers in the bottom of the bunk beds. Wifi works well and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The nicest dorm beds I've ever seen were in this place! Huge, very comfortable and all equipped with plugs and a reading light. Seemed to cater more for Chinese tourists than westerners but tou could always pop over to Emu's bar if you need a more western atmosphere.

The staff are amazing and really helpful. They pointed out the best things to do for my short stay and where to go. Hostel in across the highway from the old town though its easy to get across. Really relaxed hostel vibe that do family style dinners where you can meet other travellers.

A really great hostel. Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff.

When we checked in, the front desk staff was busy so we said we'd come back for our passports. But, she forgot to check us in so we had to come back again, and then the third time, she still had forgotten, so we decided to wait in front of her. The inner courtyard was noisy late into the night with singing and talking by other guests (1am) despite that there was a curfew. Other than that, everything was good.

Helpful staff with great English. Good priced beer and tasty breakfast. Located just outside Dali Old Town in quiet neighbourhood. Nice big communal area with pool table. Highly recommended. Thanks for posting on the journal we left behind to :)

Pleasant staff and nice rooms. Not the most social of places though.

Me and my friend's all time favourite hostel. The staff is professional and dedicated. The breakfast is pretty tasty. The hostel is close to everything you need in the old town easy to find when arriving in town.
