The shower was broken so we could't wash properly, it was very noisy, no breakfast, no actual lock on the room's door - when we went back from our city tour we found the luggage room door wide open for everyone to come in and steal anything they wanted. The notes everywhere at the reception stating all the supplementary fees (parking, late check-out, towels, internet, luggage room - seriously, what hostel makes its guests pay for the luggage room ??) didn't really make us feel welcome.

There were some sharp bumpy bits sticking up out of the floor in the dorm we stayed in. It was also a challenge to get a hot shower.

The security is quite bad: only 1 key per room and they never check if you're really in that room, no lockers in the room and they make you pay £1 for the luggage room... Also the whole first floor had no hot water. The rooms are really small, but they were not full, so it wasn't that bad. The staff was bad, I've seen happier people at funerals... But if you're looking for a cheap place, go for it: I slept quite well.

The Linen House is definitely a good place to stay if you're on a budget, but I found the atmosphere to be quite dark and somber. There were only three bathrooms for everyone on the floor. The shower, toilet and sink were all in the bathroom, so if someone was taking a shower, you couldn't go to the bathroom or brush your teeth or anything. To make things worse, one bathroom was constantly locked and the lock was broken on one of the other bathrooms.

Our stuff was stolen out of our car direct on the parking area of the hostel. The owner didn't want to help us and said that he don't want to have the police next to the hostel instead of taking care of the reputation. There are no cameras at the parking area and you have to pay for parking your car at a not secure place.

We booked a 10 bed female dorm, but there was 12 beds. The same for our friends. It should be written on the web page, not a surprise!

When I did the check in... people were occuping my bed, It had not number sticked on.. back to the reception they said to take any free bed. Also beds and doors were very noisy. Not sockets close to recharge phone and camera. Very dirty hostel, full of cobwebs. Keep your bags with a good locker to avoid any theft, there is not lockers! Very crowded room I was in a 12 beds, space that should not be for more than 8 beds, not ventilation inside the bedroom.

A great central location. Good value and clean but dated. Would benefit from a few more showers, but perfectly acceptable for the price.

Well, being tell when you arrive at the hostel that you'll be on the other part down on the road, at 10min from the usual hostel was really bad for us. They should have a checkin' office or something like this in the second house, because we had to run to bring the keys back. But it was clean and we had a good sleep in our room. Love the linens and the soft bed :)

Wrong hostel!! The only good thing was the location! Everyone is soooo loud at the night time that you cant sleep. The room that we stayed looked like a horror movie.

Booked a twin room and got a 4 bed room; extremely spacious, even for 4 people each with luggage. Kitchen and big dining room, were nice. Wifi a bit weak from room, but worked sufficiently well. Toilets could do with an upgrade though as we were not entirely satisfied about cleanliness in bathrooms.

Linen house was fine with us we were only there for one night. Too bad it was Sunday and there wasn't much going on in the city. But we stayed in hanging out there and was very busy with everyone else. Not super clean and kind of funny smell in room but otherwise was everything you need for one night. Great for the money!

The hostel is old but es very clean and the staff were great with us. The only thing that is not so good was the place where the hostel is. We didn't find any shop open on Saturday in the afternoon.

This is the bare minimum. I would only recommend staying here if you are facing significant budgetary restraints.

We had wifi only in the common room and heat was really low... Nevertheless, prices are very good!

I was a bit afraid og going there, after reading the negative comments on TripAdviser. But it's always better to have your own experience and it was : good! Value for money. It was not noisy, I slept very well in my single room, had enough of space around me and the staff offered help if I needed it. So I can recommend this hostel. It's in the center and could easy go for shopping, walking or a dinner in one of the pubs. And nice to be close to some gaybars too!
