Loved the character of this place, and the beds were among the softest I've slept in in all of China. The coffees were great too. The Loft Design Hostel has rekindled me of my younger days in London Malaysia Hall student hostel where the room heater is exactly the same. Some staff very nice, some others seem out to get money. Only one van showed up for our Panda tour, so we were offered coffee "for waiting". We ended up waiting 20 min. after the second van showed up for them to finish making the coffee (which a few of us said we no longer wanted). We had to pay for it and some of us had to take it in an open cup in the bumpy van.Some staff very nice, some others seem out to get money. This hostel is in an excellent location! They met us at the train station, put us in a cab, and reimbursed us our taxi fair. We arrived on Halloween, just in time for their party. The staff really went all out and everyone had fun! The building has a great design and it is clean! The egg/tomato dish is the best one we have had in China!
