Don't be afraid of the shabby stairs. Once you go into the hostel, you will find it's as warm as your home.

Second time here, the loft is so amazing I had to come back. The best atmosphere, location and staff. Can't wait to be back again. Thank you Emilie, Jasmina and Ferci for another incredible stay in Budapest

A small hostel with only 3 dorm rooms. It has a very cozy character. A really good place to hang out. Emilie who works there is so helpful and nice. But I think the hostel needs renovate some stuff, it seems it was not renovated for 10 years. Although it is clean most of the times. In 2 dorms they have old carpets, I dont like carpets at all and its not best floor for a dorm room. And also the bathrooms should get overhauled. I think this hostel is a bit overprized.

Small, chilled hostel with great character. Emilie is an amazing host and showed us where to go and what to see in Budapest. It's not a party hostel, but a still very sociable place to stay.

I've been travelling quite a lot and I always choose hostels to stay in as they are more comfortable than a hotel. To get to the Loft is very easy if you pay attention to the instructions, they explain it really well on the website; when I arrived, Emilie was the nicest host you could possibly wish for after 14h on a train. As I'm a cleaning freak I was surprised to see there was nothing you could complain about: bathrooms, clean sheets, towels etc.

Best hostel I've stayed in so far! Beautiful little loft, great to meet people in. We stayed in a private which was awesome but still felt apart of everything. Location was good, easy to get to everything from there in the metro or bus while still being in the centre of it all. Good facilities like wifi. Couldn't recommend enough!

My trip to Budapest was incredible and I owe part of it to this great hostel. The staff seems to be your old friends and they are truly concerned that you have a good time over there.I got all kinds of tips - beginning from the famous baths, what to eat, where to go, touristic places,etc..The hostel has a good location, which allows someone is not too lazy to be able to do almost everything walking. The facilities are very clean. So if you want to feel at home & to make friends this is place!

This hostel was recommended by another hostel I stayed at in Budapest last year. They were on holiday, but I didn't hesitate to book The Loft. Ferci (the owner) and Emilie (and Victor) are super chill. They made their own map of useful places nearby. The place is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Elevator = bonus! This is not a party hostel! It's a chill/lounge around hostel, where you meet others looking for the same environment; less vomiting this way ;-)

I've probably stayed at 100 hostels and I never review. But after staying at Loft this will be my first. It's a wonderful little hostel with a great atmosphere. The staff are the nicest people I've ever met and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I felt like it was a home. It's set up to be social so meeting and going out with fellow travelers was just natural. Even in winter when the hostel wasn't full, it turned into a more intimate and friendly little spot. Highly recommended!

An amazing place to stay in a fantastic city. The loft hostel is very cosy and relaxed making you feel very welcome. On arrival the staff talked me through the local area, eating spots and prices which was all really useful. Its a very short walk to the river and metro so you get everywhere quickly. Although the main ruin bars are a 10-15 minute walk its nice to sleep in a quiet part of town and not have the stress of being woken up to clean the room when hungover :-P Will definitely return.
