This is a great hostel on an Island dominated by resorts. With nice spacey dorm rooms some with curtains for your bunk, and ensuite it's very well equipped. The open common area has a big TV and western and local channels great for the odd rainy day in paradise. Though its not close to the main chaweng beach, it's very close to a quiter beach bang rak, which does the same job. So nice local bars and good restaurants. The staff are incredibly helpful friendly and accommodating.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is not where the parties are at, but jae is so helpful and will get you there if you want. The beds are nice and big, the common room is huge and comfy. Unfortunately there was a few things stolen so just be careful! Otherwise I loved this place.

The Hostel was wonderful, great staff. Only downfall was the wifi in the rooms so was limited to being in the lounge area. The A/C was great, the facilities were wonderful. i had no major complaints at all. I made mistake and didnt complete my reservation fully and the staff was able to accommodate me. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future

This was my third time staying at The Lounge and the hostel keeps getting better and better. The staff are fantastic and the atmosphere is one of the best ive came across throughout hostels in Asia. If you are coming to Samui, stay here.

If you're coming to Koh Samui stay here. I've stayed in a lot of Hostels and I know that meeting people and feeling safe make an experience. You are actively pushed to make friends and the staff are the friendliest crowd you will ever meet. From time to time the owner will cook up a storm and everyone joins in. They organize every step of your trip around the islands and onwards. It really is a place to put your feet up and relax. On another note the rooms are HUGE and the pier is a stones throw

Amazing place. Joy is lovely as are the rest of the Thai staff. Found the western girls not as friendly and open to chat. Great hostel with great people staying there. Close to the beach nd main strip, probably bout a 5 minute walk.

Hostel was perfect starting point to a little full moon party holiday: transportation to Koh Phangan and back, and great company, also for the day after... Breakfast was a disappointment but hey, at least it exist. Premises could be more cosy, but the idea of shared rooms for hanging out is super.

Really liked this place! Very clean and modern, big-screen TV :D One of the staff was a little overeager and pressured me to buy tickets through her as soon as I walked in the door, but everyone else was very helpful and accommodating. Great place if you want to avoid the tourist crowds; it's a 5-minute walk to the practically deserted Bophut beach, with a few restaurants, massage places, internet cafes around. Only thing lacking was a better breakfast than toast...

A tiny bit off the beaten path but a beautiful, clean facility with amazing, helpful staff and awesome amenities. Close to big buddha pier for an easy jaunt to koh phangan.

Have been backpacking for 6 months across South East Asia and I would never recommend this hostel. Dorms are not clean - I had cockroach in my bathroom, bedbugs in my bed. It is always a pain to find someone at the reception. Guys at the reception are unfriendly and very cheap; they will make you pay for anything The location sucks. Far from everything... when you know taxi prices in Koh Samui, it is a big downside. The atmosphere is OK though, lot of backpackers and cozy common areas.

Owners and staff were very friendly and helpfull. Hostel was overall clean with the exception of the bathroom in our room. Didn't look like it had been cleaned in a long time. Dirty, used bandaids in shower, broken shower head. Also wasn't impressed with all the people smoking cigarettes and weed in the common room. Just because there are no smoking laws in Thailand dosnt mean people should impose their unhealthy habits on others. Owners should not allow this.

This is, hands down, the nicest place I've stayed in Thailand. Its basically everything every other hostel does, but nicer, cleaner, and smarter. The common area is nicer than my living room at home. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they mix better cocktails than anywhere else I've been in Thailand. Everyone I met here is friendly and its a nice location. I would recommend a visit to Koh Lanta solely so one could stay at this hostel.
