Awesome place, really clean and felt safe. There was everything you needed, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Mostly though the staff here were really incredible, nothing was too much trouble and they we're so friendly.

The staff are a little "in their own world" at this hostel much friendlier and helpful at the Siem Reap mad monkey. Its also located quite a bit from anything going on, so if you dont mind A $1/$2 tuk Tyneside then its pretty good. The restraint had some good food and the bar upstairs was pretty neat, was a little wierd that half the hostel is across the street from the other half. Good party atmosphere and decent price I would remlcomend this place to mostly the 21 and younger crowd though.

We stayed around Khmer new year, the room was great but the staff weren't particularly helpful when we trying to organise transport out of phnom phen / anywhere really. Prices here are higher both in their restaurant and the tuk tuks they use. We'd suggest finding your own tuk tuk to trips to the killing fields etc.

Mad monkeys is a great place to stay especially to meet other backpackers!!! Had a great time there... Definitely a must. The staff are great to .. So helpful and always happy.

Really had a great time staying here. It may have helped that I was here only on a weekend because right next to my room was the bar, which was usually loud until 11:30 or so. But the environment was really nice, and I was happy to go to the bar each night. Good accomodations, friendly and helpful staff, and good facilities.

Good food and nice common area but the room was like a sauna could barely sleep

There were a lot of bugs in the bathroom. The room doesn't have windows and due to kitchen proximity we had Lost of smells in the room. Apart from that there were all night parties upstairs and the rumour was extreme. The food was two or tree times more expensive than in the city, and not very tasty too. This hostel is good for party animals backpackers. I don't like this place at all.

We really liked the place. It was located centrally. I basically loved the ambiance of the hostel. All travelers can leave behind a piece of art on the hostel walls if they wanted to. :) It 's a cool place!

A great hostel, with an excellent restaurant opposite the street and a good atmosphere for the guests. It is let down by its location (not really near the big sight seeing locations) and staff in the hostel, who were rather lifeless whenever I saw them (polar opposites of the restaurant staff it should be said).

Really great hostel and a great place to meet people. Really good showers too :)

One night in a dorm. Even if the bar was just next doors the room seems to be well insulated (NOT to much noise) and anyway the bar close early enough (about 12 or 1am). Great large beds Nice roof bar with specials every nights or so and a beer pong table Great decoration

Overall the hostel is good, it is a little noisy but no more than the average back packer hostel, music is off by 11/12 too. The staff are helpful with organising trips buses etc. it's a great stop to explore pp. food is good and not too expensive. We are staying here again on our way back through pp. the private rooms are very good, ac big comfortable, well worth the extra couple of quid. I would reccomend a stay here!

Loved this place! Simple and clean double room with shared bathroom. Excellent staff, great food particularly the BBQ! My only annoyance was that the cash machine only worked with Visa cards so we had to search for a working cash machine in crazy heat to buy food!

You really want this place for the atmosphere but it is not in the best location. There is not much around and the staff is not helpful when suggesting places to eat outside of the hostel because they have a restaurant. Beds were not comfortable. Do not exchange money through the hostel. There is a money exchange a 5 minutes away that gives you a much better rate than what the hostel gives so avoid exchanging with them unless you absolutely have to. Great bar and the food was good.

Brilliant stay. Great atmosphere and clean and comfortable beds.

Lively hostel with friendly and helpful reception staff, and a lovely sunset rooftop bar. The rooms can be quite noisy as the doors are very thin so you can hear the restaurant, kitchen and bar which is fine if you want to go out and be social, but not great if you want an early night. Lovely rooms though and great wifi. May be better in rooms on other side of street, away from bar/restaurant. However my experience was of disturbing noise from 6am to 1am, even with earplugs.

Great hostel, very spacious dorms. Request a room at the check-in location, I was so happy to be there instead of the restaurant bar location just a 1 min walk away, music's pretty loud until about 11:30. The staff here are absolutely lovely, so nice and they love to have real conversations with travelers. Good for solo travelers to meet people, overall a great stay! Would definitely recommend!

Staff were great and a good atmosphere in the place. I'd stay again!

We were unfortunate to be placed in the dorm right outside the sunset bar, which made our one night stay not particularly enjoyable when wanting to get a good nights sleep and up early. We also found the reception staff were often more interested in their phones, or speaking to one another than helping us plan our trip! The hostel was lovely though, and wait staff in the restaurant were really friendly. Clean dorms and big beds! No large locker for bags though, just a small one for valuables.

We enjoy our stay. The staffs were professional in handling our needs but honestly I do wish the guy at the counter could be a little bit more friendly like yhe ladies. I feel safe at the hostel. Our room was on top of the bar. Was worried at first if I can't get good sleep but it was good to find all activities ended by midnight. Internet signal is quite slow in the room, maybe the hostel could improve in that. I recommend this hostel (^^)
