Very good place to stay. Good location, great staff, excellent service for onward travel... etc. I would definitely stay here again. I could have done without staying above the bar, but at least it closes at a reasonable hour (~11pm).
Good hostel but the location is in the embassy neighbourhood, so, no cheap place to eat around. There is like a mini mart very close but prices are very expensive because of the location. A bit far away from the old part of the city. Lot of space in the dorm, it was clean, lockers, nice staff, and the free welcome beer is a great idea!
This hostel is AMAZING! To begin, the staff is unreal! Everyone is so helpful and always smiling and you can immediately tell they love their jobs! Everyone hangs out and parties together (they have a black light beer pong table) and Niles makes sure everyone goes out in one group and has fun the whole night! The restaurant has delicious food and fast service! You will not regret staying here!

The staff is so helpful, the bar offers good meals and the hostel is well located. The problem was our room. It had no windows, it was close to the bar (too much noise!), and the bathtoom smelled like sewage. It was quite a disappointment.
Good little hostel. Walking distance to S21. Facilities were good and there were nice big lockers in the dorms
Very good hostel! They cleaned everyday and the beds where very nice. Excellent food at the restaurant. Breakfast was not included but its worth to pay for it. Nice and spaceouis rooms. The center is 20 minutes walk. Location is ok. Staff is excellent! Anyway worth a visit!
Hostel was clean, great rooftop bar, staff a little brash in their approach to dealing with customers, but no big deal there. Not the most central, but tuk-tuks everywhere were cheap enough, so no worries there either.
Good hostel, location is a little out of the way though. The tours are really good if you book through the hostel, very $$ reasonable and much better organized than if you were to book via 'travel agent' etc. Only issue was the shower facilities, which are quite poor as only on the second night we realised that some of the showers actually had hot water
Good hostel, shower facilities very poor.
We loved Mad Monkey. Great food, amazing sunset bar, cheerful staff. The hostel also provides an extensive list of travel services from bus tickets to motorcycle rental, at very reasonable prices. We really appreciated the social causes behind. A rare example of a project that really helps to improve people's life and at the same time builds a lively, charming atmosphere for travelers. Hope to be back here again.
Nice, clean hostel with friendly staff and a rooftop bar.
Very nice hostel. Easy to meet people. Staff is wonderful. Great food. If you are headed to Siem Reap, book your ticket first thing because they will sell out on the nice bus by the night before.
Amazing hostel to stay for backpackers. The staff are friendly, amiable and very helpful. To Sothea, Dary, Raksmey and Lina, you guys are amazing!!! I will definitely come back to this hostel when i visit Phnom Penh.

Seems very expensive especially for Cambodia, especially laundry (2$/kg) and restaurant. However still a very nice place to be, and although expensive I'd stay there again
The staff really made this place shine. They always had a smile on their faces; from the registration area to the servers and bartenders. Great place! I highly recommend it!

Good place, good food. Very helpful staff. A little more of a party place then we hoped, but good nonetheless.
this is one of the best hostels i ever stayed in while in south east asia! the beds are big, comfy and clean! the bar at the roof top is great place to meet other travellers even though it closes a bit early at 11PM the food menu at the restaurant is great with a lot of international variety, even though a bit expensive compared to the prices in cambodia! will definitly stay there again if in the city
I reserved 2 nights here 13 days prior to my arrival in Phnom Penh. I emailed them the night prior to confirm my reservation and gave them my approximate arrival time, 8pm. I received a generic, automated FAQ email but assumed things were fine. I arrived at 7:30pm and was told that my reservation had been cancelled. I'd obviously received no notice of this, but found an email sent at 6:40pm with a notice of cancellation. No reason, nothing. No response to my subsequent email.
Without doubt the best hostel I've stayed in in Southeast Asia. The whole place was very clean, the staff were AMAZING (best part of the place!), really easy to meet others at the bar or the restaurant, and even though my dorm was right next to the bar, I had no problems because the bar closes early. Really great atmosphere, and almost everything is within walking distance or short tuk-tuk ride (which they can arrange for you).
Loved it, great place great food great people
