Good for short stay in Phnom Penh. Just don't buy bus tickets from here. They overcharge much more than the going rate

Very good hostel quietly located by a small street. I stayed in the large dorm and it was quiet, although there's a bar beside. Bed was clean and comfortable. Availability of toilet might be a problem. The room was a bit smelly since it was newly painted.

The beds were nice, plugs and lights next to each bed. Rooms were nice, staff was also nice.

Good hostel plus well run for group tours and pub crawls and cafe, but the restaurant is pricey, as a suggestion, would be better off doing ur own thing at night instead of a pub crawl, as it felt very European

The sunset boat party was awesome so was the pun crawl! All the proceeds go to a good cause too. The owner, Alex (or Sam some like to call him) is a legend and makes you feel at home!

The hostel staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was good a short tuktuk ride from pub street and s21 was in walking distance. Good common area and yummy breakfast as well as clean rooms. Overall great stay. No complaints from us. ^_^

This hostel's got friendly staff and a great restaurant and bar. Room condition is average and hostel's location is a bit far away from city centre, but the good thing about this hostel is that virtually every driver knows about it by name (and thus no need to lay out a map for directions). Considering the price I will still recommend this hostel.

Wonderful place to meet fellow travelers. Clean dorms, decent bar and kitchen. The best place for backpackers in the town.

The staff were welcoming, and helpful. Only downfall is that I was placed in a room near the bar so the music was very loud. It also meant that I heard people coming in and out early hours of the morning.

Great place to stay, good value for money and the rooftop bar is a good place for a lone traveller to meet people and hang out. I stayed here and in the mad monkey siem reap, the two lads who own them know what backpackers want and how to accomodate for them. Without a doubt I'd stay here again, book it!!

Very Nice hostel!! And very Nice straff! The cleanliness could have been better. The pillows on the benches by the bar was smelly, the beds were not clean. But when we askes them to clean it they did it. I World stay there again

Great place to meet people, the rooftop bar area is great! Would recommend to any solo traveller. Stayed in a private room and it was clean and comfortable. The Cambodian staff seem to be treated well and seem happy at their job. This is a testament to the owners who have really started up a great place here.

Great bar upstairs & nice downstairs restaurant in this lively hostel. The staff were friendly but a little scattered; we arranged for a cruiseboat company to pick us up & told the hostel but their computer system failed to register us & when the cruise called the hostel to confirm, they had no record of us & ended up being an hour late. A bit inconvenient. Room was fine although pillows quite dirty under their cases.

As other people mentioned they overbooked the hostel so we were turned away on arrival. Even tho we booked on hostel world. Seems to be a common occurence at the mad monkey. Found a cheaper place closer to town on our own. I advise you call ahead to confirm your booking! Poor location too.
