The best part about this hostel was its proximity to the lift. The beds were also comfortable. The showers leave much to be desired- no privacy for male or female changing. The t.v. Room also needs a better set up for preparing food. All in all, I would recommend this place and stay here again.

Security: there isn't any. It's an open door policy for the rooms. You can get a locker but they're tiny. Location: less than half a mile from the train station and right next to the lifts. Atmosphere: very lacking. There's a common room but it's always empty. Cleanliness: the showers don't drain, the floors aren't cleaned, and they don't clean the beds it seems. Facilities: the wifi signal is fine. But there's no way to cook your own meals. Only a fridge. The blankets are very scratchy.

Not enough outlets in room. They don't even have a micro wave. They pack all the beds in so tight to each other. But the location is amazing and is a very short distance to the first lift. Cheapest place in Zermatt so don't expect a lot.

Far away from train station. No room key would be given because the door should be always opened for 'roommates' .Mix bathroom with just shower curtain but no door or lock. Mix dorm crowed like caged room.Bunk beds are sticked to each other . Kind of sleep on a double bed with strangers. Super narrow stair. Difficult to turn around with even one backpack. Nightmare, roughing my vacation, very bad experience. Can't believe it happens in Switzerland.

there's good will in the staff. the place is very central and at 500m to the cable car. the infrastructure in the hostel i count to the worst i have seen in switzerland (i am swiss and know several...): everything is old, shabby, narrow and feels like a military camp (showers and toilets one other floors, covers are itching military blankets). there's no safe way to leave baggage outside of your room. comparision saas-fee: expensive place, hostel same price, but quality top end !

The place is close to the Main Street in town and to the skii areas. The staff were friendly and kind. It was also nice to have the sparky restaurant right next door. My main complaint was that the bathrooms were gross. The showers were clogged and the bathrooms were super smelly.

Very dirty and crowded. Only one outlet per six-bed room. The staff was helpful but not available often.

The location was great for skiing, only a short walk from the lift and not far into the Main Street of town either. The staff were friendly but only really spoke with them for checkin and checkout. The facilities were a bit lacking with only A kettle to boil water and no other cooking facilities. Would have been nice to have a more equipped kitchen given the hostel targets the more budget backpacker and the food is so expensive at restaurants. Showers were not great as you couldn't adjust temp.

As a budget traveler this is a perfect option, however there were a few things to point out for future travelers for: -a few rooms have low ceilings-- not ideal for tall people -breakfast is not outstanding for a day on the mountain but it is nice to get food without leaving the hostel-- shop at 'Le Mini' for food to save a lot of money -wifi was not great while we were there (pre-season), but apparently it is much stronger in other times... (but who needs wifi while in Zermatt/Alps???)

Great location. The facilities are a bit poor as there is no kitchen for cooking your own food. Breakfast is not included but you can pay a little extra for this. Staff was great and was a good place to meet people.

Showers are gross! Nowhere to put your belongings while you take a shower unless you put them on the wet floor. There is no atmosphere here, not really the place to spend time and hang out but fine for a place to sleep. Great location. Rooms are very small and very cramped. Only a couple of the lockers were able to be locked. Only had 1 power outlet in a room for 8 people. Staff were very helpful when we had issues that our bed was double booked. Although staff is not around very often.

Great hostel 5 minutes from the lifts. Everything was clean and the staff was great. Only thing is breakfast could be better for what you pay

A great hostel and good value for money given it's location. I would point out the showers were cold - this was discussed by visitors to the staff but it seemed that that is the way that it was.

Very basic hostel but a cheap option when you want to visit Zermatt. lockers are available and the WiFi works great, but don't expect too much of the other facilities. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and of course Zermatt though!!

The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable - I think sleeping on the floor would have been better! The pillows were very flat and no duvet was supplied, only a military style blanket, that was filthy! I don't think the blanket had ever been cleaned - it has so many hairs on it from previous people! Not nice. There is also a strong smell that lingers around the hostel. The showers were terrible also, there is no where really to change and get dressed without getting your clothes wet.
