The location was great for skiing, only a short walk from the lift and not far into the Main Street of town either. The staff were friendly but only really spoke with them for checkin and checkout. The facilities were a bit lacking with only A kettle to boil water and no other cooking facilities. Would have been nice to have a more equipped kitchen given the hostel targets the more budget backpacker and the food is so expensive at restaurants. Showers were not great as you couldn't adjust temp.

The staff are all friendly and accommodating . Highly recommended .

Great location. The facilities are a bit poor as there is no kitchen for cooking your own food. Breakfast is not included but you can pay a little extra for this. Staff was great and was a good place to meet people.

Showers are gross! Nowhere to put your belongings while you take a shower unless you put them on the wet floor. There is no atmosphere here, not really the place to spend time and hang out but fine for a place to sleep. Great location. Rooms are very small and very cramped. Only a couple of the lockers were able to be locked. Only had 1 power outlet in a room for 8 people. Staff were very helpful when we had issues that our bed was double booked. Although staff is not around very often.

Was supised this place had bad reviews, it was perfectly adequate for people looking of cheap accomm in zermat , there is no kitchen but they do have a fridge kettle and dishes so you can prepare basic food. the staff are friendly , and anybody who is used to budget accommodation will like this place

Zermatt is sweet. Cheapest place to stay in Zermatt by far.

Great hostel 5 minutes from the lifts. Everything was clean and the staff was great. Only thing is breakfast could be better for what you pay

A great hostel and good value for money given it's location. I would point out the showers were cold - this was discussed by visitors to the staff but it seemed that that is the way that it was.

the beds are too small and we will hurt our heads when living in the bas of the beds, and there is no brkfst and bus tickets, even though the price is not hign.

Very basic hostel but a cheap option when you want to visit Zermatt. lockers are available and the WiFi works great, but don't expect too much of the other facilities. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and of course Zermatt though!!

Hot tub. Great views. 5 stars hotel for cheep. Don't look any further

The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable - I think sleeping on the floor would have been better! The pillows were very flat and no duvet was supplied, only a military style blanket, that was filthy! I don't think the blanket had ever been cleaned - it has so many hairs on it from previous people! Not nice. There is also a strong smell that lingers around the hostel. The showers were terrible also, there is no where really to change and get dressed without getting your clothes wet.

Great value for money, Great bar also and very friendly staff :)

We arrived in the before check-in and left our bags in the unlocked room downstairs - no problems or concerns with stuff missing. Very safe (at least in September). Easy walk from the train station. And easy walk to trails in the area.

For a budget hostel it is just that. Beds are extremely uncomfortable, showers clog up and are not very hot. I would not stay here again, it's worth spending a bit extra money to stay somewhere else.

Fine for day trips. Would be good with a bigger common area

Good place to stay! The showers are clogged so it's like taking a bath when you try to shower. But otherwise it's close to town, rooms are clean and staff is great.

This hostel had good vibes and the staff was great. Also very clean. The only thing missing was an kitchen.

Overview. the only good thing about this hostel is the location if you plan going to matterhorn. then the other points you can normally get on a hostel are poor. bad WIFI. lockers are old made of wood almost a wreckage. no kitchen, which would be a plus in swiss.

Rubbish hostel. Ok, I understand that there is a real shortage of hostels in Zermatt, & that Switzerland is expensive compared with most of Europe; however, for what we paid for it was a joke. Our 6 bed dorm had 1 powerpoint, showers 1 temperature setting, there are no locks on the main door or the dorm room rooms, or even the showers. Reception has very limited hours, & we had a family with a child 3 years old In our dorm room... If I return to Zermatt I'll happily pay extra for a hotel room.
