The Maze Hostel staff were very nice and helpful. Though the hostel its self was a big disappointment. We had to carry our luggage up too the second floor because there were no elevators. There was a awful odour and the rooms were quite small. This was not the best experience of our trip but at least it was only for one night.

The most disgusting place I've ever stayed at, it looked like it was barely ever cleaned.

The staff at the hostel were really friendly and helpful, however the hostel itself was dire. This might be a great hostel if you want to just get drunk and throw up somewhere (there was plenty of this evidence in the bathrooms), if you're expecting to get any sleep it's not. There was a fight in the corridor, people shouting and slamming doors well into the early hours, plus some joker wheeling a swivel chair up and down the corridor for what seemed like hours. It was unclean and felt unsafe.

The accomodation itself wasn't great. It was a bit dirty and the corridors smelt bad. My second room was fairly clean, but it stank of petrol (?!). The staff were really good and helpful though. I was uncomfortable with security though, as there are no lockers in the rooms.

As another review says, if you're under 25 and like to party and not looking for somewhere to 'sleep' then this is the place for you. We got to our rooms and they were horrible (no fault to the hostel it was the guests) the staff then changed our room without any problems. In regards to overall cleanliness of the bathrooms they were disgusting I did not feel clean using them. I had trouble sleeping here as guests do not respect others and the noise was unbearable, but staff are lovely.

When we walked into the room, there was a squashed cockroach smeared on the wall, with the body still attached to the wallk and the floor was in bad repair. The beds are really uncomfortable with springs sticking into your back the whole night. This being said, the hostel is quiet, in a prime location, and the wi-fi internet works, unlike some other hostels. If you are on a budget this hostel isnt too bad, but there are better.

This is a hostel for alcoholics. Every morning the common areas are littered with crisps, empty bottles and reeks of alcohol. On the street itself one is constantly harassed by drunk people leaving the bars close by. But for what it's worth, at Sydney levels the place is worth the price.

Well not the type to write a review but as I was given free internet n asked nicely to do so - why not. So it's not the nicest, or cleanest or best laid out building (a maze it is) but all in all it was a really good time - free dinner, staff were plesant not to over the top and it was certainly cheap. great for me a solo traveller as no shortage of people

Went there to party and have a good time. People there were keen to party. Its in a good location, short walk from central station and George street. Security is really good at night as they hire security guards on the doors to stop randoms coming in.
