I think the hostel is worth its price first, and its a good way to look at that. when you travel and you just need a place to sleep with a friendly staff to serve you and a convenient location is what you get here. I enjoyed my stay and cannot complain . But to improve my stay at the hostel would be to look at the ventilation system at the hostel, cleanliness of the bathrooms, the kitchen. but again for this money that you pay with them it is an excellent choice.

Didn't have a chance to get much of the athmosphere as we did not take part in hostel's activities during our stay, but seemed to be enganged. Rooms to the front are really noisy as windows did not completely close.

This hostel is in a fantastic location. It is just a few minutes walk to Darling Harbour, Central Station, supermarket, shops, markets, etc. The hostel had a good atmosphere most of the time, however being woken up constantly all night by drunks

Loved my stay at maze!! I will definitely go back there when I go back to Sydney. Close too everything, clean, great kitchen. James and everyone in the reception staff is awesome and very helpful. Free food and goon is a big PLUS! The wifi sucked though.

Staff are useless and the free shuttle bus from the airport that is advertised never arrived, also if you pay for a week and need to check out early no rebate of money is given, staff are dire and some are very unfriendly, poor hostel, will not revisit!

The luggage storage was disgusting (there was a dead rat). Iwas in this hostel in two different times, and the second time i was there, one of the girl bathrooms was closed due to electrical prolems. One bathroom wasnt enough for the whole floor. The staff was unfriendly and unhuelpful. The good things were the location and that there are activities every day

This hostel is in a great location. You can walk everywhere. It was hard to meet people so if you are traveling alone this might not be such a good place. The kitchen was great but bathrooms were broken on my floor. The lock was broken on my door so it was rarely locked. No lockers in rooms but there are machine lockers on the second floor you can rent. You have to pay for wifi but they will give you a towel. Check out is 10am. Overall, a decent hostel for a few nights.

Very clean hostel, thought the kitchen was amazing! The best I've been to! There was loads of utensils and a good amount of hobs. Was disappointed that the first 2 nights I stayed here, there were not female showers working on our floor, which meant walking a very long distance to have a shower. Amazing location! Easy to get to all of the attractions and to the station.

The staff in particular were very bad. For example On my arrival they asked some deposit. They told me they take it in case the key to my room is lost. They did not tell me that in case I stay there after 10:00 am in the departure day the deposit will be taken. That day I was slept till around 11:30 when they woke me up. They refused to pay back the deposit. When I protested one of them claimed she has come to the room at 10 to wake me up but no one was there which was a clear lie.

Good location. Cheap for Sydney but still well over priced for a room that felt more like a prison cell. Not the worst hostel i have ever stayed in but certainly not the best

Good value for money, basic but great location and events like free goon and food on evenings were a definite plus, but the food is nothing to rave about. Some staff can be awkward and others lovely, female showers were off on the 1st floor for four days during our stay which was very annoying as we had to go on the second floor and it felt like doing the walk of shame -no joke. I'd definitely recommend on a budget.

Great stay. Originally booked for 3 night. Then extended, staff moved things round for us so we could stay in same room. Great showers and decent kitchen

I enjoyed staying here mostly cause I was sharing a room with some great girls who I enjoyed meeting. But it's a good location, nice hostel with a friendly feel even though its huge!! Showers are good etc there was an incident of theft from someone's room while I was there, but your room is as safe as you leave it, all doors lock and windows close fully so you can stay secure.

Very good location but very unfriendly staff. They are not very willing to help you and dont give you much information. The bathrooms were quite dirty and many of them didnt work, so there werent enough.

Perfect location and pretty helpful staff. It was very well planned with huge kitchen and lots of showers/toilets. Very Clean for being a cheap hostel, felt like there was staff cleaning 24/7. U can be private, but if u want to make friends there is something going on every night.
