Decent hostel but spent the last night of our stay chasing cockroaches around our room with my flip-flop! On checking out had staff member, called Sam, insult me by asking if I was able to read! This was neither appropriate nor called for and something which I have never encountered in the hospitality business before at home, Europe, Africa, South America, New Zealand or indeed Austrailia previously. With this level of ignorance and arrogance I'd recommend any other Hostel in Sydney.

Very very run down and dirty. Nothing "maze" about it, probably the least maze-like hostel we've stayed in.

If you're here to get free booze and party, then it's the right choice; if you need a place to stay for a short time, and have cameras, phones and other devices that need to be charged, then go somewhere else: it's not mentioned when you make the reservation, but there's no guarantee you'll get a power point in your room (even when you book a private one!) Also got visited by a couple of bugs and other little creatures during my stay... To be short: very expensive for what you get!

Cleanliness depends very much of the travellers themselves. I do understand, the hostel itself has a regular cleaning exercises. However, it is really the responsibility of travellers to upkeep the facilities clean. It is just to be fair to the operator.

Review 1, the staff are nice people, but they need to be trained on how to do the job properly. I was told i had to rebook online to get another 2 weeks at the place, apparently they couldnt rebook me at 19 dollars a night. I personally wouldnt pay any more than 19 dollars for the service provided !

What an awesome place! My first stay in here wasn\'t the best of experiences but i had enough fun to come back, and you cant find a cheaper bed in Sydney. This time round they have new owners, new tv room, new dining room, and a whole new vibe! I\'d definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a fun atmosphere without being like a nightclub. My girlfriend and i will be coming back again for sure.
