The perfect place if you are travelling alone and want to stay for a bit longer in Taipei. Very friendly people and welcoming staff. There is always something going on between the people in the hostel. We recieved a very good service while we were there.

Great atmosphere in the sitting room where travelers from various parts of the world had lots of fun! Area of improvement was the toilet which was sometimes wet and smelly. Shower room was okay.

The location isn't bad, not great. They have a weird bathroom set up, in that toilets for girls and boys are separated by gender but the showers are mixed. There are also only three showers for everyone, which didn't get clogged up while I was there, but I woke up a lot earlier than everyone else. The computer wasn't working so the staff member let me use his when I needed it. The staff were generally helpful, if quite over enthusiastic about what you should and should not be doing.

I stayed at about 6 different hostels all throughout Taiwan, and The Meeting Place was by far the best. The space is huge and it's in a fantastic location next to one of the most famous night markets. The manager is extremely friendly and knows all about the area and things to see and do in Taiwan. Some residents stay for a few months, some for a few days, so whether you want to go out and adventure or just stay in and relax, The Meeting Place offers a comfortable, secure atmosphere for cheap!!

good hostel in a strategic location near the train station! helpful staff and nice lounge area...plenty of space in the room where to storage your luggage!

Best hostel in taipei

it was generally a good stay, but they have too many DO NOTs, yes, I understand it is for the comfort of the guests, but too many. except this, it was very good to stay there. especially, they showed some good moviest in the evening, awesome~~!!

I booked this place for 10 days, and ended up extending my stay by 40. The prize is extremely cheap, and the staff is pretty awesome. Adam the manager knows all the good places to go out in the evening, and speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Mandarin. If you are an international student or a traveler - this is a great place to post up while you are in Taipei.
