This hostel was so great I changed my itiinerary in order to return. If the beach is why you are in Malaga this is the hostel for you!! The terrace is beautiful and the staff make it a place you want to be. We barely even wanted to go out because the food and drinks were so great!, but don't miss the center of town either, it's a 10 minute bus ride! Props to Mikael and James for the hospitality!!

This hostel was excellent for backpackers! So close to the beach, and really not too bad of a walk or bus ride into town. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they are very hospitable! The breakfast was the cherry on top to this great place!

This hostel is amazing. Right on the beach. excellent terrace to hang out on and meet the other people at the hostel. It is a bit outside the city center but this helps since everyone at the hostel is forced to hang out together and make excursions to the center. It's not difficult to get to the bars with a short bus ride or a cheap cab or even walking for a few minutes.

sweet hostel, right on the water. friendly staff and fabulous location. also, they cook KILLER meals at night--for 7euros its probably some of the best food youll get for that price. also washing machines on site which is nice. breakfast, like all breakfasts in spain, is just toast and jam and croissants which is disappointing but reality. nevertheless, this hostel killed it. definitely recommend it.

We got a room in the cellar, and it was always dark and wet, although the weather was excellent. The staff was extremelly kind and helpful, the location is great, and the food was marvellous

I had the best time I could possibly have, great staff, friendly atmosphere, fully equipped kitchen, beach right in front of the hostel, not far from the center (around 20 min walk,a bus stop few minutes away. My boyfriend and I planned to visit the city, but we had such a great time in the hostel that we really didnt care to spend more time with the people we met there. Melting pot is a place for party, and having fun (which I loved), and a place you CAN NOT get enough sleep!!

+ michael from the staff was very nice + hostel offers dinners for 7 euros from 6.30, usually bbc meat with a sidedish, very nice and tasty - the location is not great, yes it is right next to the beach, no it is not close the the centre (it is 4 bus stops, long walk) + wouldnt worry too much about it being the party hostel, the terrace closes at midnight, and when I was there it was quite calm + free walking tours included + lockers in the room, but very narrow

I've stayed in Melting pot Malaga for two weeks and it was absolutely great! Staff was so nice, especially Angel and Miguel Australian guy - they were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere overall was welcoming and cool - as if you stay in your own house with crowd of your friends! Location to me was perfect - straight on the beach only 25 min walking to the city (and that's beautiful walk). I definately would recommend this hostel and would love to come back!

I stayed in a shared female dorm first which was excellent: Really nice and spacious room, with balcony and view to the sea and en suite bathroom. Then i moved to the double room which was very disappointing compared to the shared room. Small and with only a tiny window, the bed was wonky, the room was noisy. I'll go back to the shared dorm any time but never to the double. Overall, the place is amazing and worth a visit anytime. Great staff and great place.

This was worth staying a couple more days! I enjoyed the staff, the atmosphere, the VIBE! It was great meeting many people and I actually think that though the location is a little walk from the center, it opens opportunity for good socialization. The over all common areas are awesome... and did I mention the staff!!! AWESOME JOB GUYS!!! So nice! So Helpful! So Clean! So Energetic! Wish I could have stayed longer! EXCELLENT!!!

The Melting Pot in Malaga is a hostel that could easily become a place you stay for a week or two. The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful, they prepare delicious traveller meals for a decent price (7E) and breakfast is included with your stay. You are also next to the mediterranean (our bedroom upstairs overlooked the water). I hope to be back there again someday!

I had a great stay! The staff was friendly and helpful, and they truly want you to enjoy vacation. Every night a dinner is prepared, and you can get a ton of food for very little money. Or if you'd rather cook there's a kitchen, and there's a supermarket right down the street with everything you'd need. It's literally right across the street from the beach and about a 15 minute walk from the downtown area. My only complaint is that I like my sleep and this hostel likes to party. Haha
