Second stay at the melting pot. Great hub for meeting other travelers. Nice kitchen. Terrace is good. Bar with shisha. Breakfast good.

Good starting point, but not really true morocco. More like an international hub in tangier as a jumping off point to meet other travelers and get drunk and stoned. The top 2 floors shut down at 12 which kind of sucks because it's the kind of hostel you want to stay up late at. The staff is really helpful and know everything about the city, but they seem a little worn down from dealing with all of the tourists.

Nice staff (although they're not usually at reception, you can ring them to come down) and a good location, but my door didn't lock. Breakfast was very average, just one type of bread and coffee or tea. Rooms were clean and comfortable though, so can't complain too much!

I had a private room and although it had a secure lock on it, it was open when I returned each day. However I could not fault anything else about the hostel.

It was awesome there, since the location is in between of the congested homes, but the view from the terris was awesome. Staffs were very friendly and helping. It is worth to choose.

Great location in the Medina, about a 5-10 minute walk to shops and cafes. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms are kept clean, and the bed was comfortable. I stayed in the eight bed room and there was enough space for luggage etc. Wifi was a bit funny at times, but it worked most of the time. There is a nice view of Tangier from the roof! I stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer!

Certainly a valid option in Tangier. Staff was friendly. It feels kind of noisy if you are over 30 ;). Nice rooftop terrace.

The hostel is perfect. One of the few hostels in Morocco with bed linen, clean bed linen. The rooms are clean and there is hot water all the time. The breakfast is simple but it is better than no breakfast. The view from the roof is amazing and perfect drinking morning coffee. The only thing is that there is only one toiler per floor and sometimes, esp in mornings, you have to wait a lot for it.

The Melting Pot in Tanger is such a nice place. It is at first hard to find, but it is a lovely location in the medina, close to all the 'big' places there. What I especially liked about the hostel was the communal feeling. In the night time, we all sat on the terrace overlooking the Tanger medina and shared some beers and some stories. In the morning, we all had a Moroccan breakfast together, sitting at a large table in the kitchen. It was a great place for a girl traveling on her own.

Beautiful private rooms, the terrasse gave us a great time to relax and chat with other guests. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was incredibly friendly.

Literally 7minute walk from the port, so save your money and walk to the hostel. Good: breakfast, location, security facilities, terrace.Bad: wifi, pushy guides

Nice hostel. Great free breakfast and terrace. They can organise a walking tour if you have at least 3 people interested. It was okay but at the end of the walking tour our guide asked us for more money than was already agreed on.

Very clean and good beds. However, know that this is not a small hostel. Often quite noisy, and people everywhere all the time. Lockers were a nice touch. Wifi is often patchy. Location is right in the medina - look for the signs on the walls! The staff was very helpful!

Kitchen is great. Terrace is nice. Beds decent. Bigger lockers would be nice. I would stay again.

This location is perfect! It's a quick 7 minute walk from the port and once you enter the city it has signs pointing to the melting pot! It's very quick and simple! My only complaint would be that it can be pretty noisy at night because there's an echo in the building. Staying on the first floor by reception is highly I recommended.

Very nice and clean place. Wonderful terrace Nice staff and they are very helpful :) Just a bit noisy, because of the style of the building, which is very open. Thus, it's very chilly at night, but on the other hand you hear many things.

This was a great place to meet people if you are travelling alone. I stayed here for 4 nights and the only real downside was that it was the same breakfast, just some bread (from Morocco) and tea or coffee.
