Great place to stay in Tangier in a good location (albeit a little tricky to find the first time around). It has good facilities and a fantastic rooftop patio that gives you a great view.

Staff were really helpful, definitely ask them where to eat! Rooms were spacious, but some of the sheets may need retiring due to being thread bare.

The entire staff was super accommodating even at 1am after booking the wrong Melting Pot in Tangier instead of Tarifa. Had a great time!

Good stay at hostel. No real problems during my stay. Location is inside the old medina but there will be signs pointing you to the right direction. Beware of people outside near the hostel trying to rip off foreigners. Ignore the people telling you how to get there or children following you as they are conditioned pester one for money. Day time staff were really nice, helpful, and considerate but night staff can be a bit rude. Overall, good value for what you get.

Was easier to find than we thought despite the location as there are loads of signs up for it in the old city, so we didn't have to rely on any of the local "guides". Good atmosphere, facilities were great, is real "old style" decor, and a lovely roof terrace. And great breakfasts! If you are booking though, try to avoid getting the rooms on the ground floor as they are right beside reception and if the phone rings or if anyone is checking in/out early in the morning, you hear *everything*...

Though all the other members of staff were great when we checked in the particular man on the desk did his best to make our Moroccan friends who we were travelling with feel as uncomfortable as possible, treating them wildly differently to the English members of the group. On balance though other than that our stay was really good here

The staff were super helpful, providing all the information you could need in Tangier. Good location within the Medina, lockers in the rooms, kitchen available and the standard Moroccan breakfast of pancakes with Jam, Tea & Coffee . Not all that modern and the beds were pretty squeaky but the pluses already mentioned outweighed this.

It was nice to arrive at a hostel where the staff offered an introduction, showed us a map etc. No other hostels in Morocco had quite got the hang of this. Dorms are very basic but satisfactory. 5 minute walk down the hill to the ferry port where ferries go to tarifa. Nice rooftop terrace! Wifi a bit temperamental. Overall would recommend this hostel!

Everything was great. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the hostel is beautiful, homey and creates a great atmosphere to meet people. I loved my stay at the melting pot and would most deffenitly stay there again if I were to go back to Tangier

Salaam alekoum! Once again, I really enjoyed this hostel in the medina. There is always a good vibe in this hostel and it is in great part due to the awesome staff of the Melting Pot. The only recommendation I would have to make is to look at the possibility of replacing some of the older mattresses. Beslama ! Amagi Patrick

Very backpackerish (in a good way), roof terrace was great and mint tea readily available. Location wise is a bit tricky to find but once you do it becomes easy and it is basically on the edge of the Medina.

I've stayed here twice now and I'm a fan. It's a really good meeting place, right in the medina. The staff are welcoming, the place is clean and there's a lovely roof terrace. The downside for me was the mattresses which are poor. But I'd still stay there again.

The Hostel has a great location in the Medina, the main attraction in Tangier. I think it could be a little more enlightened, but the atmosphere was OK and the breakfast was great too! Good food in Morocco.
