This hostel is the simply the best! Once you arrive, you feel like at home, you get relaxed and cheered up the same time. It is cozy, clean, calm (after midnight the common areas, such as kitchen and living room, are closed) and safe (I did not use even my locker and we never closed the room´s door with my dorm - mates ...its just not needed). The stuff is helpful and kind, the location is perfect... I will come back to Tarifa for sure AND I will stay at this hostel again FOR SURE:)

The melting pot was a good hostel overall. It's personality matches the surfer laid back feel of the city. I think I ended up in the worst room of the place right off the reception so there was extra noise and not enough plugs for charging. But those are small things. It's close to the beach and a fun place to stay.

2 minutes from the Tarifa ferry terminal. 2 free computers to use. Lockers in rooms. But only 3 showers for everyone.

I was immediately won over when one of the staffs dog was there to welcome me, but even without him I would have enjoyed my stay. The staff was fantastic and the location is great - only drawbacks were a lack of power outlets in the room, and it would have been nice to have a couple more showers. Otherwise, great hostel! Thank you!

Noisy, only 2 toilets for the whole hostel. Double room TOO small.

Overall is good. But keeping tourists out for cleaning from 12 to 14 pm is not a good choice. Need more bathrooms and toilets.

A wonderful hostel, the staff was very kind and always willing to help with any problem. The hostel is located perfectly between the beach and the historic city centre with all is restaurants and bars. We were very happy with the cleanliness, there were new towels and floor mats every day as well as daily room cleaning. All in all a great experience, we would return anytime !!!

The place was nice. Was a little pricey I thought, but all in all it got the job done. They could stand to have more than 2 toilets/3 showers for the whole place. But all in all no major gripes.

Great hostel in this small town. Can't go wrong with the location because the beach, old town, shops, bars and everything you need is within walking distance. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Shuts down between 12-4 though which was weird but I guess necessary for cleaning ... Overall great place to stay.

I liked the fact that even though the hostel is clearly aimed at the windsurfing backpacking crowd the receptionist wasn't fazed by 2 older gay men turning up with a booked room!

There are not enough bathrooms or showers for the hostel. The rooms do not lock. There needs to be an option to stay in a female only dorm room.
