aMelting Pot is a lovely hostel to stay at, in a great location. Had a great time there, and met some awesome people; not only people staying there but also working there, thanks to Uday and Paula for their tips on Morocco. Also Uday is a great guide for some good Tapas, good wine, and a great party around Tarifa. BC.

I'm probably spelling his name wrong, but Uday was the best staff member I've met at any hostel. His hospitality was unmatched - we ended up at his place after the bar closed, and he made us drinks and cooked us a delicious vegetable pasta dish. On the other hand, my room had bed bugs - another guest and I both got bitten.

had a good time at the melting pot ,nice location, very nice atmosphere, met lots of nice travellers though security wise wasnt great, one night a random guy walked into the hostel wandering about for 10mins.worse of all i woke up one morning covered with Bedbugs bites, that was horrible. i had to wash all my staff again and spray my backpack. i spoke to the owner who said wasnt her fault. i paid all the washes myself and on top of it was still charged for some wash i did the night before! beware

We had a very pleasant experience. Uday was particularly helpful, the peopl who were stayin there were very fun, and the kitchen was perfect. You could also not ask for a better location, as it was close to everything and less than a five minute walk to the beach

Excellent hostel. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is well-stocked and the common area is bright, airy and comfy. Just a 2-minute walk from the beach. Overall the hostel has a lot of character and is professionally run. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best hostels i have stayed in on this trip. Good spot very near the tourist information. Little bar good beds clean, the shower head you have to hold to have a shower little downside. The staff were very good dude from morocco heñped with Q & As about Morocco.Good place to meet people.Stay for a few days or one day just before the boat to Morocco (66euros for boat).

First, the good: really great common area & kitchen, very comfy beds and fresh linen. Best bedding I've seen in a hostel! The bad: there are only 2 toilets in the whole hostel! It is also very noisy, forget trying to sleep. This also applies to personnel. The guy (Udai) was super nice and went out of his way to be welcoming and helpful. The girl seemed like she couldn't get rid of me fast enough. When I checked in, she didn't even look up at my face until the end of the check-in process.

Loved my stay in Tarifa and at the hostel. The staff were super friendly and i did the kitesurf deal. Whether you do the deal or not, if you're interested in kitesurf lessons i totally recommend the etriboo school. I learned a ton in a short time, my instuctor jordy was amazing and the etriboo is totally professional and fun. Kitesurfing was amazing. Plan to stay for a few days so you can get the right wind.

- great location, nice staff, comfortable beds, nice people around, as there is a table in the kitchen u get to know people in the morning at breakfast - breakfast only white toast, 2 types of jam, coffee - not enough bathrooms and they are quite poor recommendation to the hostal: please take down down some of the signs - maybe the obvious ones? - also if alergic to cats, there is one wondering around the hostal

Perfect atmosphere!!! Most people only stay for one or two days on their way to morocco or on return. But you should definitively take a couple of days off travelling stress to enjoy the beaches and gain some skills in kite or windsurfing. UDAY es lo mejor! Muchas gracias para todo. pasa lo bien, que nos vemos prontisimo!!!

Melting Pot Tarifa has the most comfortable, relaxing, and inviting common room of any hostel I've been in. Way more cozy than my living room at home. The only thing is that everyone has to be out by 12am! With that being said, if you wanted to sleep it was possible. However, that is my only complaint about the Melting Pot Tarifa. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, the kitchen was large and well-stocked, and there were two friendly, very well trained dogs to keep us company. GO!

Best hostel for the price! The staff was reaaally kind and helpful. thanks to his informations and recommendations we could make our stay in Tarifa better. I would go to this hostel again if I am going to Tarifa again. (just one thing, if you are a person who can't sleep deeply, I recommend you not to stay in the non-ensuite room for 8 people. since the room is right next to the entrance, it can be sometimes annoying.)

Everything was fine at this hostel. We only stayed two nights so didn't really get into the social vibe but it's definitely there if you're up for it. Good spot. Breakfast could be better. Only negative is there are only two toilets in the entire place and one is downstairs away from all the rooms.

The hostel welcomed us with a sign that had our names on it as we arrived...nice touch. It was very chill, near the old town, and had a nice a little terrace, and the kitchen was perfect. The staff was helpful, and I quickly made fast friends. Uday was a marvelous host, very talented guitar player also. I will definitely return to Tariffa, and back to this hostel. Cheers. Michael A. very chariming and amazing atmosphere in this hostel. i really enjoyed the stay. Flamenco music in the afternoon played by Uday, was relaxing and its worth while to feel the mood which comes up. the staff was friendly and polite and did help me with all my questions i had. location very good, in the silent neighbourhoud from many bars, so you can go out, but sleep very quiet. i will come again.

The hostel has a really big kitchen and good communal area. They only charge 4 euros for washing which is pretty good. The lockers in the rooms are a bit small to fit bag into.
