Location is great, and the terrace and common areas are comfortable. Breakfast could have been better. At least some bread other than white would have been good.
The Melting Pot is a great place to stay if you plan to visit Tarifa. I only stayed one night on my way to Morocco, but found this hostel to be very good. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and they were there to assist with any questions i had (they also booked my ferry ticket for me to cross over to Morocco). The rooftop is a great for hanging out and making new friends, and the beach is an easy 5min walk down the road. Its also very easy to find from the bus station.
Close to ferry terminal, far from bus station. Breakfast very unexciting. Can probably get better value for money elsewhere, though staff were nice and rooms were very clean.
Staying at the Melting Pot was fun and easy. Especially as solo traveller it was simple to get in touch with other people around the kitchen table or in the hall. Everything is in walking distance and the staff is super helpful. I would stay there again!
Great front desk staff, great breakfast option. good location in the city
I stayed at the Tarifa and Tanger Melting Pot hostels, and I would highly recommend them both. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean, and they have a nice common room , as well as a great terrace for socializing with other backpackers. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you for the warm welcome! Amagi
We loved our stay, the breakfast was northing special, but great outdoor terrace and friendly and helpful staff

Great hostel, a little expensive for what you get. Great for solo travellers. Breakfast was average.
Very nice building with lots of character, also felt like a really sociable hostel, breakfast was help yourself around one large table, so chatting at breafast was easy. Our room was lovely, well decortated and very clean, but I thought it was small and lacking facilities considering the price (the most expensive we paid on our holiday), having said that it is a touristy area, and I think in comparision to others it is a similar price, for a location, a lovely hostel with friendly staff.
Great place. The double room with balcony was just great.
positives - check in reception was friendly and really great. shower was nice and hot. location was great. negatives - wifi didn't work well. one of the guys working at the hostel trying to take advantage of the girls, making her feel really insecure and ended up leaving early.
Cool hostel with really chilled out atmosphere and staff, if you are in tarifa you must stay at this hostel!
Great hostel for the atmosphere, small and personal. Everyone starts drinking in the evening then head to town to continue the night. Close to the beach also.
Unusual (in a good way) hostel, feels like a friendly home, and the cheap mojitos every evening were a nice touch! The terrace is amazing, and for a birder like me, offers the chance to watch bee-eaters migrating overhead! Only downside for me was the people returning at 3.30 in the morning talking at full volume as they came in. Can't blame the hostel for that though!
The atmosphere in the hostel due to the people who stayed there at the same time as i did was amazing. Although i didn't like the fact that they would close the terrace at 11 pm and then the living room at 12 so basically we had to leave or go to sleep. Even when we went back to the room and started a quiet conversation a guy from the reception would stick his head in the room and shuh us, sometimes i felt like a 5 yr old.

i was made feel very welcome, staff is nice and helpful! hostel is relaxed and there is everything you need, location is awesome, and tarifa is great! small downside sometimes had to wait for bathroom but not too bad. anyway i had a nice stay so thankyou!
The hostel is really good, if you want to go to bed early it is maybe a bit to noisy.
expensive given Tarifa is just a small town - after midnight living room area is closed and no socialising possible.
