We enjoyed our stay at the Monk's Bunk despite the fact that we are not 'party' people, we were worried that the hostel maybe noisy but it really wasn't, the bar was on the floor above us so we couldn't really hear much so managed to sleep well. There is a lovely big kitchen that guests can use with a large dining table. Everywhere was clean and the people were friendly.
Well run, social and conveniently located hostel. An inclusive atmosphere meant that everyone socialised and the staff cooked a meal each evening for 2-3 euros, which you would pay more than double in town for. To relax or be entertained it was a great place.
Nice an lively hostel..Walking distance to many attractions. The staff are very nice and friendly. Overall ambience in the hostel is very youthful:)
Amazing hostel. Planned to stay three days but ended up staying for over a week. The only downside is that the atmosphere is so good that you never want to leave to sightsee!
excellent place even better staff (multilingual and super nice ) Real way to meet this beautiful country and have time of your life
Great hostel to meet people and have fun. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was excellent in making sure everyone had a good time. Good location right across the street from the old town.
The guy that checked me in did not even bother telling me anything about the layout of the hostel, like where the kitchen, bathroom, etc. were., whether they had activities planed and so on or any useful information about the city. he did had the decency to point me to a bed but really quiet an unwelcoming person. fortunately, the rest of the staff and owner were actually cool people. this review is more a reflection on that guy with no hair more so than the hostel it self.
Really the place to have some rough parties. Make sure you bring earplugs if you want to have a few hours of sleep. Great atmosphere, clean and nice bathrooms. Can highly recommend staying there.
I had a great time at the Monk's Bunk. This was my first time staying at a hostel so I was a little nervous but the staff was very friendly and showed me a great time. They directed me to different places around the city during the day and at night they partied alongside the guests which was really fun. The facilities were very clean as well and for the price, it's a great value. Would recommend to anybody staying in Tallinn.

Come into this hostel if you're expecting to party! The staff members are really accommodating and chill. They give you a free welcome shot and there are parties going on every night followed by pub crawl. The one night I stayed it was beer pong night. They have quiet hours enforced too so you will be able to get enough rest to start partying again!
Def worth it to stay overthere... No doubts you will have some fun and feel at home... Everybody always really friendly...
This is the first hostel I have stayed in and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences me and my friends have had. The hostel organises nightlife tours which gives you the opportunity to meet new people. Atmosphere in the hostel is perfect, you feel nice and relaxed throughout your stay. Security is good with no lock outs etc and bar open 24 hours a day. Location right by the old town. Would recommend to anyone staying in Tallinn

Really good hostel. The rooms are quite good and there is a lot of toilets (clean btw). tha living room where the recption is provides a great atmosphere to meet people and hang out. Definately would stay again at this place, had a really nice time there !
Great Hoste with nice bar. Sometimes very loud in the sleeping rooms because of thin doors and walls!
Neatly located on the edge of old town, making most of the things within a short walking distance, with a couple of bars and places to eat just around the corner. The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful, but at times didn't have info on tours they organise. The no-shoes policy seemed weird at first, but now I realise how much it adds to the cleanliness - which is immaculate. The party atmosphere was a bit toned down to some of my previous experiences, but still there. Would recommend
staff is excellent! good place for party people :)
The hostel was nice, and the staff was friendly. However a bit unprofessional. The manager was too stressed, a bit loud and argued with other employees in front of guests. The floor was a bit too noisy, you can hear everyone walking around, and the noise from the commonroom could be heard everywhere. Apart from that this hostel is a nice place to stay. Note that there is no sign on the outside, just a tiny piece of paper on the door. A bit hard to spot and find.
Awesome hostel! Get Trey to show you where in town you should go. The pub crawl wasn't quite worth it, but otherwise a great place to stay. Excellent value
Monk's Bunk is a very good option for party people visiting Tallin. They promote activities that help guests integrate and have a good time such as pub crawls and the staff is super friendly and upbeat, which I hope remain like this despite the kind of management they apparently get. Myself and some other guests hanging out in the social area could see the bad attitude the manager has over the staff - feedbacks given to employees in a very rude and disrespectful manner in a public area. Awful!
