I was very happy with this hostel. It's relatively close to central London and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable and there is a bar! The beds aren't the most comfortable things in the world, but it worked for me.

To be honest it was a normal hostel but there are better ones for the same rates. It was a bit tooooo small. It's okay for a night or two but not for a long stay. However the breakfast was good. The selection is decent and if you eat a lot for breakfast you won't have to spend much on lunch. They also provide hard boiled eggs which is uncommon at other hostels. I think the only thing they could change about the place would be to make the bathrooms cleaner. Maybe clean twice a day instead of once

Very relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff, however it is a bit of a walk to the underground station and a little ways out of town.

Location is a little bit out of the main area, but still easily accessible with transit. Being outside the main core also helps with the cost! Six person rooms are either 3 double bunks or 2 triples. Triple bunks are somewhat hard to get into. Main floor bar has cool atmosphere even though its not open the latest.

I really enjoyed the stay at this Hostel. While it is not particularly close to the city center it is easy to reach during all times of the day and located in a nice area with an Indian vibe. The hostel itself is a cozy house with a well equipped kitchen and a nice common area, but the thing I liked most is the pub area. Cheap drinks and a great atmosphere - a great place to kill some time before going out or after coming home

Kind of expensive for where it was located. Had to take the tube and a bus and walk a couple blocks to get there... Got old after doing it only twice. There are NOT enough bathrooms and they have an inch of water on the floor at all times. The line was crazy. Breakfast & wifi were good. I had to charge my phone outside our room because there weren't enough plugs. Felt friendly (met good people) & had a good breakfast but overall not worth the inconvenience.

Please, do yourself a favor and don't stay there!! As as frequent traveler&hostel stayer, go to a YHA hostel (they have always a minimum of standard). We booked 3 nights, left after the 1 night!! There's a lot that we can take, but MOLD (quiet a bit) in the woman dormitory, NO WAY!! it smelled really badly, the room was crowded with stuff (probably from 2 long-staying girls) and the BED's were horrible uncomfortable. At least, they gave as the money back for the not taken nights.

The mattress were the worst one I have already slept in my whole life! you could feel all the springs of the mattress, which were probably made of metal, and it was really terrible sleeping in there! The rooms are too small to have so many people on it! The room for 9 people only support 6 or less! The prices was cheap but I aleady stayed in other places which was as cheap as this one, but not so bad as this. There was no wi fi connection in the place, it was very annoying.

Hostel with pub downstairs, interesting idea, there are always some people hanging around and they all friendly. Reasonably priced, good value for money.

I had globally a really pleasant stay at this hostel. It is not really close to the center, but it is not too far either (you have to take the bus after getting of the tube, especially if you have your luggage with you). Otherwise, the staff is nice, the hostel quite calm, and there is a kitchen and room where to eat or rest, plus the pub downstairs for breakfast or the evening, which is really pretty. The only problem I had was there was not always enough hot water in girls bathroom.

Hostel is located a bit off the main track but that's actually what I liked the most, quiet and cheap. egs for breakfast are good, lockers are free, internet is free and it's good. I didn't expect much for 8.50£ but this place was a nice surprise.

The worst bed that I've ever slept in. The security isn't great either, because the luggage is stored in racks in the hallways, but at least they got lockers for backpacks, and I haven't had any trouble during my stay. Despite all these inconveniences, the atmosphere of this place is amazing! The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the people who usually stay there are great too. The pub is really cool and it's a nice place to chill out or to have some drinks. Excellent for a weekend away!

The staff were excellent, especially Maria. The atmosphere was great at the hostel with the bar and common rooms being good places to socialise. On the down side the kitchen is small-ish and the mattresses are mostly springs.

Been in Monkeys for 3 nights, didn't had any problems with the place besides it's a bit further away than I would want but it's a still great place to stay, plus it's really cheap! It's in a quiet neighborhood. It has a cool pub at the bottom level but it closes at 00 and that kinda sucks.Toilets are clean as well as showers. The only thing that bothered me a little was this really, really old dude(about 65+) staying in my room.I'd change the age maximum and that's it!

Decent hostel. Eggs at breakfast were a nice touch, and the hostel was reasonably quiet at night, which was nice. Unfortunately, the kitchen was too small and the beds required serious acrobatic manoeuvring to get into. I also have to take off a hefty number of points off for the unbelievably awkward experience I had in the bar, and the fact that the hostel was so far from the Shepherd's Bush Tube station that you had to take the bus to get there.
