You will very hardly find a more modern hostel for such price. Common rooms are huge, breakfast is excellent. My room didnt have any windows, so you felt like its still 4am when it was 9am. Kinda weird. And guys had common showers, not separate ones which I would prefer. Those are the only downsides, overall very good! In summer, time at the rooftop must be great.
Location is right outside Haeundae station and very close to Haeundae beach. Friendly staff, great facilities. great experience.

To be honest, this isn't really a hostel. It's like a hotel trying to be a hostel. Having said that, the facilities, location and security are top notch. They even have floor heating in the rooms and personal lockers included for free. However, I didn't find the home-like feel or atmosphere of a typical hostel in this place. But if you are just looking for a place to stay... This is great! Although it's far from ktx and intercity bus terminals. If you like the mugunghwa, it's perfect.
Why waste your time hunting around for some hostel tucked into some random alley when you can stay at the one right by the subway station? The hostel is clearly visible from the exit and it's just off of the main street towards the beach where all the restaurants are - perfect!
Possibly one of the best hostels in East Asia. Thank you, New Day.
This hostel is nearly on par with the Portuguese hostels (easily the best in the world). Everything was well-planned, clean, and efficient. Laundry's only 3k, or free if you hang dry. The common area on the roof is excellent. I can't say much about the vibe here as it was a bit quiet when I visited, but I'll definitely stay here on my next visit.
the new day is one of the best hostel i've stayed, will definatly come and stay again if i come busan staff are freindly and very helpful, the hostel is super clean the 7th floor common room and garden is really nice
Excellent hostel which seems more like an above average hotel at first because it is so clean, spacious and well-decorated, but maintains the feel of a hostel, with quirks such as a message board for traveller recommendations/reviews and communal breakfast which had a great atmosphere. Oddly, the men's shower room was similarly communal, but I guess it's nothing different to when you shower after going swimming perhaps, so shouldn't be regarded as a negative. Overall highly recommended.
"The New Day" isn't downtown Busan but It's easy to access by subway and easy to hung around Busan. Stuffs are friendly and rooms are new and clean.
We had a great stay at this hostel. Really convenient and comfortable. Clean and lots of amenities -incl washing machine, lockers and good wifi. Breakfast was good and the place is very modern and stylish. Nothing bad to say about it at all!
My second visit here and I still love it! the location is perfect- right across the road from Haeundae station (where you inevitably want to be when in Busan), amazing facilities. Great building. I cannot think of any complaints! Thanks for another amazing stay! :)
We had an excellent experience at The New Day. Staff was incredibly helpful, letting us store our bags for a few hours and recommending fun things to do in the area, like visiting Spaland. At $35/person for a private room, we would have preferred to have a double bed and a private bathroom. Further from the beach than many hostel, but only a ten minute walk at most. Best hostel atmosphere I have experienced so far. I would recommend this hostel to anyone, specifically group travelers.

Amazingly clean facilities, super-informative/ helpful staff, convenient location, quite inexpensive, and wonderful place in general. Only flaw (personally) was the communal showers- was not expecting that one.
Beautifully cared for hostel. Amongst the best that I've stayed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hostel is not next to beach but close enough for a 10 min stroll. Close to entries and nightlife area the haeundae area. Love it, would definitely stay again if I chance by Busan.
Out of all the hostels I have experienced, this one was the best!

Great location for Haeundae Beach and all it has to offer. The rooftop terrace is amazing. Rooms clean but cramped. Communal showers was an oddity for a hostel so bear that in mind, I never had to shower with anyone else though. Lack of atmosphere for a westerner as most guests were Korean and did not seem to want to socialise. Wouldn't have a problem staying here again but not as a solo traveller again.
It's a big place with no real hostel feeling. More in between a hotel and hostel so not for party people. Great though for a quiet nights sleep. Location is very good. Easy to find, near the metro and not very far from the beach (10 min walk). You have your own locker (although too small for a backpack) and everything is clean and fresh. If you don't mind the slightly higher price range, it's a very good hostel!
Close to beach tho a Little out of town but on subways doorstep. Could have given a direction and distance from subway exit. Great staff, spotless. Good info and if they don't know they will research it. Highly recommended. Geoffrey
