This Hostle was very large. The down fall was there were way toady kids running around like crazy animals and if you have a car, well good luck finding a parking spot. Otherwise I would stay here again. The people were great and they have a ton of social events you can attend like pub crawls, bus tours, museum trips and much much lore. The kitchen was amazing. You could really cook up a meal in there! Enjoy!!!!

Overall great experience. I wish they'd have tables or counter space in the bathrooms where you could set your clothes while taking a shower. Great big open windows in the kitchen area make breakfasts nice.

We stayed in a private room for 1 night. The hostel is in a gentrified part of Brooklyn. The atmosphere is fun

i was there for only one day.. but felt welcome immediately. the staff was friendly! missed a garbage bin, a mirror and night light in the rooms. I slept in a 3 female dorm, which was really nice, bright and clean! Only my room mate decided to 'claim' my bed but staff was very helpful in this weird situation! Also the guy who did the free fondue on wednesdays did a great job and the free breakfast is awesome with fruits, cereal and waffles. i'd come back any day!

We were three girls whom booked together, but we couldn´t sleep in the same room or even floor, which was complicated and not quite nice - we where told, that we had just booked three beds, not the whole 3 bed room?! This was a frequent occurrence at the hostel. Then the money they charge you is MORE than they write in the email, you receive in advance. They add taxes!!! But breakfast is good and as much as you can eat, you can use the kitchen to cook for yourself and a nice TV chill out lounge

Never in my life have I been treated so poorley and have been so humiliated. As a result of a disagreement with the reception employee (That charged me double for one of the nights without really explaining why), he decided to ban me from the hostel and even called the police. All because I've expressed my disapproval of the way they run their business, something I entitle to, as a paying customer. To this day I didn't get my money back or heard from the hostel's manager.

DON'T GO ON 1ST FLOOR. I got no sleep due to creaking & slamming doors that could easily be improved with some simple adjustment. I also didn't have a locker in my room for the first 3 nights. With the negative out of the way this hostel is alright with some decent common areas. I realise I was some what unlucky so learn from my mistake and go on the upper levels :) I may have also been unlucky but I have stayed at many hostels and met friendlier people and staff.

I thought this hostel was great! Very friendly staff! I found it safe and the room I stayed was great. I stayed in a room with only 2 other girls. It was great! Not crowded and we shared our own bathroom which I liked. Something about sharing a couple of bathrooms with 30 other people like I have experienced at another hostel is not cool or hygienic. The only thing that I would like to mention is the smell that came from the bathroom's "sewer". It was unpleasant. But I would still stay here!

We stayed here for 8 nights. The location is TOPS, w/ close access to the subway. The hostel is clean, secure, and has huge rooms. However, the beds are uncomfortable; the "free breakfast" is the cheapest garbage you can imagine; and the staff (with a couple exceptions) acts like you're "interrupting" if you ask a question. Point is, for what you pay, you could get a hotel room - where they have real breakfast; change your sheets; & no one's doing "the nasty" in the same room, (yeah).

the hostel was perfect. it might seem that the location is poor. but u are just 20 min from manhattan and you are in the good area to go out at night, met the most amazing local people around bushwick and east williamsburg. pretty good breakfast should last until 10 although. i recommend this hostel to anyone who is looking for a good under hipster experience in brooklyn and ny.

Clean hostel with excellent communal areas in a cool warehouse/loft space. I stayed here after having spent 10 days in Manhattan as I wanted to see more of Brooklyn. Its not a great locale if you are wanting to spend most of your time in Manhattan. It's on the outskirts of Williamsburg in an industrial area and the action around Bedford Avenue is a few stops away, as is the lower East side of Manhattan. Sketchy area - I'm pretty street smart but would not walk around this area alone at night.

A great place to stay, a calm and peaceful atmosphere just outside of the city. Staff were all friendly and helpful , the outside area was beautiful, and the free breakfast was very helpful!

The only disappointment was that on the booking confirmation I was given a figure called "Amount to pay on arrival". This was well short of the actual amount I had to pay on arrival! I would suggest that it is made clear that the figure is still subject to sales tax being added, or at least phrasing it differently as it was a bit misleading! Otherwise we had a great stay and found the accommodation good value for money.

A very very poor and disappointing service. Receptionnists are unable to answer your questions and solve your problem : unless an advanced booking for two and what we were promised at the arrival, the staff has been incapable of giving us a single room for two, after many requests (every morninng during 5 days !), and knowing that every day beds were available in one of the two dorms at least ! We expected less desdain. Besides, air conditionning was absent of any rooms ! 40°C in the rooms !!!!
