It was cool and hip and in the perfect location. Every thing was safe and the people there were nice.

This hostel is really cool, neat, trendy and in a good spot in Brooklyn. The only problem was that the walls are paper thin and I could hear the girls in the room next door talking until 1.30am. Just take ear plugs and it'll be fine.

I was in a 3-bed female dorm and the two ladies who were with me on my second night kept having their boyfriends enter our dorm while I was trying to sleep, which I feel was very disrespectful to me. They should have reserved a mixed dorm if they wanted to be together. Additionally, guests need to employ better personal hygiene after using the showers. I was repulsed by the insane amounts of hair that I found in the bathtub drain. I had to clean it out before getting in.

Nice place, be sure to order a kind of room that you are comfortable with. I stayed in a room with two others, and that worked out fine, for a value of 40$ a night. Fantastic locations in Bushwick. Just a bit disappointed that the showers had almost no hot water og pressure (three days in a row).

The hostel is near from the subway, the staff is helpful and the greatest point is that they offer a self-catering breakfast! Also, having this breakfast is easier to meet people! The negative points are that it takes + or - 15 minutes to go to Manhatan and the cleanliness could be better!

The common area was what really made this a great hostel. The free breakfasts allow you to socialize with those from other states and countries.

The staff were ok, no one made any extra effort to be nice, as people from hostels usually are. Except for the night recepcionist, this guy was awesome. Seems that they only clean the floors of the rooms, the windows were very dirty. I think it's expensive - ok, NY is kind of expensive - and they could have at least free pc use. The location is ok, and the atmosphere could be warmer. It is an 'ok' place.

I had a good stay. The staff want always very nice. There are some rules at the reception and nobody cares about them, people wouldnt let me sleep at night because of all the noise and nobody told me anything. Breakfast is okay. You must bring your own towel (they charge $2 for towel each day) and your shampoo, which is fine. There is an extra hospitality fee or something they charge when you get there that is not included when you make the reservation.

Morning receptionist acted like you had interrupted something very important when you wanted to ask a question. Afternoon/evening receptionist is amazing, very friendly and helpful with a great knowledge of Brooklyn. Rooms are huge by hostel standards and the place is really well set out and has great facilities. Really close to the subway so Manhattan is easy to get to. Great place to stay.

The neighborhood looks dodgy but it is really safe. It is really close to Morgan St station on the L line that runs right into Manhatan. Staff was great except who a girl who is well, a New Yorker. It shall work as a good tryout to deal with other newyorkers. There was a locker space in the room, the bathroom were super clean, and breakfast was bountiful. Didn’t had chance to meet much people but maybe it has to do with the season. O and they WON’T check you in before 3.

Great hostel in a hip, quiet neighbourhood slightly away from the bustle of New York. They conveniently offer a $3 luggage storage, free breakfast, and pay computers.

The Hostel International falsely charged my ATM card over one dozen times and the staff was ZERO help with helping me. They did not even have contact information for me. I ended up having to shut my card down ,report the charges as fraudulent and get a temporary card which screwed up my ENTIRE trip. I will sleep on the street before I go to this hostel again. Horrible..
