The loft could use a bit more lights and the water system in the bathroom could also need some improvement. Other than that, this is a quite decent hostel to stay.

I had a great time. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I plan to book in July 2012 and will share my positive experience with others.

I had an awesome time in this Hostel, actually my favorite hostel. Breakfast is really good, and location although is not in manhattan is just 2 blocks away from the subway. The rooms (actually lofts) are huge, with private bathrooms and big space, wooden floor.

The price was awesome, the people were fun, and I really appreciated the included breakfast and barbecues. Will definitely be coming back next time I visit NYC.

There is not enough space to share all the good things about this hostel. Always clean, always friendly, and in an amazing area. No other place has the charm of staying here. My visit was perfect as always!

I liked the hostel very much, however the bathrooms were always wet, without a rug to step after bath. Even drying inside the tub it was impossible to not wet the floor. Another thing that really bothered me was that there is no place to drink water after midnight, because the kitchen was closed and I had to buy a bottle in the machine.

Interesting neighborhood! At least in the weekend there were a lot of people on the streets, so it felt quite safe to walk there even in the middle of the night. The breakfast was sort of a chaos, but it's still the best hostel breakfast I've ever got. Not to mention that it was free. A really nice backyard too!

The Hostel ist in Brooklyn but the L- Train (Subway) is within easy walking distance. The hostel ist very nice and especially the breakfast is worth mentioning. The stuff is polite and helpful. The facilities are good. Everything is comparatively new. The cleanliness is ok - the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner but really nothing to worry about. The area directly surrounding the hostel on the way to and from the subway station is ok at night.

Great hostel with a great price! It's a little far away from Manhattan, but the neighborhood is nice and hip and it's just 15-20 minutes by the subway. Rooms and beds are okay, staff is friendly and always around, kitchen and backyard are very nice, over all very good. EXCEPT: We saw a mouse in the kitchen where there is served free breakfast every morning, and the staff didn't seem very sorry about it when we told them. Would also be nice if the shared bathrooms were cleaned more often.

I thought it was great! Breakfast was good - nothing special, but it was definitely helpful and convenient to have something to eat before heading out. Helped save some money too - eating in NYC can be expensive. Thought the staff was reasonably friendly, and the other travelers were a lot of fun. I would definitely stay there again.

It would have been nicer if the internet access on the Hostel Computers were free.

Best hostel in NYC!! The little things count here, like every phone charger for your use in your room, FREE bbqs (not frozen burger patties, the real thing!), great breakfast, beautiful and spacy rooms... Don't be spooked by the fact it's in Brooklyn-the subway is right around the corner and it takes no time at all to get to Manhattan. Also, it will give you a chance to check out Williamsburg which you MUST do. Trust me, it's the gem you were going to miss otherwise. STAY HERE!
