Cozy, quiet and clean hotel with friendly staff.

A well appointed room and an attentive host made for an enjoyable stay. We marked the atmosphere as average owing to a rather stale kind of smell in the communal areas.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are surprised with your comment about a stale smell in communal areas because as you have noticed and highly scored with a 5 the hotel is cleaned thoroughly daily and if there was any kind of problem we would have dealt with it immediately.

We visited this hotel before. It is of exceptional cleanliness. The Newark Hotel is located very close to the beach and local restaurants. It is a very quiet hotel that we would recommend for a weekend break. The owner is very friendly. We noticed at the breakfast that guests are usually in their 50's or older, so it is not a hotel for stag parties and young people looking for parties. It is the perfect place if you have a demanding job and need a weekend of good rest, which we prefer.

Really nice place to stay, quiet and peaceful, not far from the beach. Great breakfast!!
