I had a great experience at the Nightingale Lodge! As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. Free breakfast was adequate...cereal, toast & ja, juice, coffee. Clean bathrooms and no problems with sharing. The rooms were clean as well, comfortable bed, nice clean sheets. No problems with noise late at night, although I'm sure this varies! A relaxed 10-20 min walk into the city center. Staff extremely helpful. Will recommend to everyone I know, and will definitely be back!I had a great experience at the Nightingale Lodge! We really enjoyed our stay at Nightingale Lodge, brilliant location for the centre of Liverpool. The walking directions from Liverpool Lime St Station are quite hard to follow though. When you have to turn left onto to Catharine Street, the road is initially called Mulberry St. Apart from that great hostel at a great price!! There was no problem with my check-in in the middle of the night. The room was clean. One big clean bathrooom was for about two 2-bed rooms what was pretty comfortable. Staff was willing to help us in everything in every moment. The building of the hostel itself is very nice both from outside and inside. The meal at the breakfast was enough also for me, who eat very much. You can have tea, milk, coffee, toast, jams, butter a corn flakes. You have to leave a 5-pound-deposit for the key and for a towel they charge you 50p with another 5-pound-deposit. They didn't tell me that breakfast ended at 9am: I arrived at 9.05am and there was nothing left. They should end breakfast at 10am which is the usual ending hour. There are no lockers to leave your stuff.
