The Nomad House hostel is located next to the beach in Ban Tai on the main road running from Thong Sala pier to Haad Rin and the world famous fullmoon parties.
This newly (2013) opened hostel, runned by a swedish/croatian couple, offers you safe and clean airconditioned dorm rooms, as well as a fan dorm with safety lockers, hot shower and free Wi-Fi. Flexible check in/out time with staff avalible 24h. In the hostel building there is a cozy chill-out area and upstairs there are 2 balconys, one with seaview and the other with view over the beautiful rainforest. The bar with outdoor terrace is situated downstairs and the hostel is now also serving authentic italian pizza, baked in a wooden owen.
On fullmoon, as well as halfmoon, the hostel arranges pre-parties that will get the guests in the right mood for these famous events. Other parties such as Halfmoon Festival, Black Moon Culture, Jungle Experience, Sramanora Waterfall Party and Shiva Moon are just minutes away from the property. Taxi to fullmoon and other parties avalible 24h just outside the hostel. If you want to get around the island on your own, the hostel can also arrange motorbike rentals.

My stay at the Nomad House was awesome. Ivan the owner is super friendly and made me feel at home from the first minute. All the rest of the staff is really helpful too with whatever problems you have. I stayed there for 4 nights before the Fullmoonparty took place and they even assisted me in finding a place on the northern part of the island, because the hostel was fully booked already. I went back after fullmoon and stayed another four nights. Friendly, clean, great ppl! Highly recommended!!!
