The Nunnery is cosy and has a great vibe about it - staff are friendly and helpful and the free popcorn, ice cream and bbq is a bonus! Location also good, just a quick tram ride into city and located near loads of funky shops and restaurants. The only down side is that bedrooms could be cleaner - bathroom's especially were quite dirty - and it is a bit pricey at $30. I would stay there again though. Overall a good backpackers, great location and fantastic building. would recommend not getting a room 2 or 3 near the entrance if your looking for a quite night as people talk outside the door until 2am some nights. Also the kitchen closing and opening throughout the day is a bit of a pain! This is actually the best hostel i've stayed in in australia, more like a guest house than a hostel, more live in tennant than backpackers so mabye not recommended for immature goon hounds !! A lovely hostel! I turned up the night before halloween so was a little surprised to see a party in fulll swing, but it soon quietened down. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and there was a nice breakfast :) I'd stay here again, very nice atmosphere!A lovely hostel! Expensive for the guesthouse, considering breakfast is DIY and you wash your own dishes.
