This is a great hostel, I've stayed there several times, great place nice people. My only complaint is that it can be a little noisy although that is not unusual for BP's.

the staff is lovely, a lot of weekly activies which create good relations between the backpackers like pub crawling, bbq...etc, showers/toilets are super clean, Fitzroy pubs and bars are just 5 minutes by walking... Nothing bad to say about this hostel ! If I come back to Melbourne, sure I will spend one more night at the Nunnery !

Best hostel i've stayed in so far! i've had so much fun, amazing people, great staff, it's clean and the atmosphere is awesome! It's a beautiful building and although the hostel is pretty big it doesn't feel like it, personal touch. I think it's about a 15 min walk to the centre (don't know exactly) but that's aright, there's a tram right outside, a park across the street and then you have brunswick street if you wanna go out :) i met a lot of cool people here! absolutely recommend it!

This is a very welcoming hostel. It’s about 5-10 min walk to the CBD and a bit pricey than the other hostels, but well worth it. The hostel is very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, plus they do great little social activities to help the backpackers meet one another. 12 bed dorm rooms are large with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are pretty well kept too. The kitchen being small is the only downside.

The staff is really friendly and catering to your needs. The location was excellent as Brunswick street was right up my alley for a laid back style with contemporary flavor.

I enjoyed staying here. I think the atmosphere is very lively, the staff are friendly and the social things you guys do are quite fun. I always see the staff working hard to keep everything clean every morning and night. Thanks for making the place a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. It's an expensive city, but the little things you guys do help a great deal. Thanks!!

Its a good homelike hostel, better than that ones that I stayed in Melbourne, I recommend, they provide breakfast. Unfortunately inside my room they dont provided lockers for all beds.

The rooms were very dirty, but the toilets were ok. Many "residents" at the hostel but because its small it's very easy to socialize. The room was big enough for the 12t people around , but one night they even put the 13th bed which was pretty ridiculous...i got the worst bed, it was hard to climb and the room was super cold. But the location is superb.

One of the best hostels in Melbourne. I booked for 2 nights and stayed over 10. Nice activities weekly( free bbq, movie night, pancakes etc.). Fancy common room and courtyard.(They are not too big or small.) Rooms are clean and spacy though the biggest dorms are a bit crowded. Only thing I would complain is the kitchen's size, it's too small and the table in the kitchen is too big so it's hard to move around there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Nunnery. Everyone (staff and other guests) were so nice and there is soo much character around the hostel, how could you not like it??! The rooms are a decent size too and not too hot like others we've stayed in

Very good location in front of a beautiful park, the staff was always very friendly and nice, its a beautiful building. I recomended this hostal a lot. Just the cleaniless in the dorm was deficient.

The Hostal its located near by one of the most Popular Areas of Melbourne, the staff its nice, I've booked 2 night and I have to payed them up front, end up that I've only stayed one night and they have a "NO REFUND" policy that you just notice after you already payed, but the girl at the desk said that i could used that as credit for my next visit (finger crossed) . Like I mentioned before Locate on fritzroy where all the "cool" people hang out and the tram stop its just outside the door.

This hostel was great. The weekly events were a good way to meet people and the free Barbecue on a friday was awesome. The only downsides were the lack of lockers in the rooms and the lack of free wifi (just global gossip).

The Hostel has a great athmosphere! It is build around a house in the area Fitzroz, just a 5 min walk to the city center. and brunswick street.. That street has many cool bars and cafe. Free breakfast is good, with actual bread and the activities organized are great for the athmosphere and i met soo many great people here. i booked in 5 nights but stayed 9 nights

The residents all seemed relaxed and at home, which lent and air of relaxation and fun to be had by all. I slept like a baby.
