Great place to stay, people are very friendly. The hostel itself is very nice and the staff very friendly and helpfull. Had a really good time there, if I come back to Melbourne I'll definitely go to the Nunnery.

Had a really nice room with a tv (luxery!) only real negatives are paying for wifi and the kitchen is extremely small. Had to eat very early to avoid the rush.

Great location, close to trams, cafés and shops. Not every bed in our room had pillows. Friendly staff but slight issues with our party all paying separately. Bathrooms were pretty clean but some empty shampoo bottles etc were in there. Free pancakes on Sunday mornings!

We really enjoyed staying here! For the most part it was really clean and had decent size rooms. In the rooms we were in there was no AC and the fans couldn't really keep up so it was quite warm. Free breakfast was nice and the reception staff was very helpful! The location is a bit out of the way but not too far and there are trams nearby.

If you are in Melbourne and not staying here you are letting one of the best things of the city let you pass by.

Although away from the downtown area, this hostel had character (actually was a nunnery) and generally had pleasant atmosphere. I would stay there again if in Melbourne. Book early, a lot of people seem to like The Nunnery so it fills up fast.

The staff (namely, Nick) are amazing, fun, happy, & love to get you where you need to be. I would stay here again solely due to Nick's involvement with the hostel. My biggest complaint is in regards to the location -- it's just far enough away from the CBD to be considered as 'a long walk', but it's certainly walkable. Brunswick street is, however, right next to the hostel. Free breakfast daily! Pancakes on Sunday! Pubcrawls twice a week, free soup once a week, free BBQ once a week!!

It is a really nice place! And the team is very friendly and great. Very nice place in Melbourne.

Rooms were huge, staff super nice and the atmosphere pretty cool. Loved it

I enjoyed stay here with 13 people in the same room, after 11pm seam like everyone quiet and sleep. Good black fast, but you have to get up before 8am before good one run out.

Really great place to stay, my first time here in over a year and will probably stay again when next in melbourne. Got upgraded from 4 bed to a single and had the best nights sleep in 15 months. Hostel is quiet after 10. Easy to meet people in large common room and they always have activities on.

Quirky hostel full of character. Shame that the kitchen and courtyard areas were just too small. And rooms were stuffy and uncomfortably warm.

Best hostel I have stayed at yet!

Staff could be more friendly, helping with a smile for example :) Had a nice stay though, clean hostel, good facilities. Thanks!
