Great atmosphere, good location right next to Brunswick road where you'll find lots of places to eat, drink and shop and you'll get into the CBD pretty quick as well. Also liked the spacious common area and free breakfast. Unfortunately no secure lockers in the rooms.

I absolutely loved my stay at the nunnery. An amazing staff and a great group of people...plus weekly activities that help you get to know the other residents. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling through Melbourne.

Lovely old house with character and many bathrooms. They are as clean as can be expected without constant cleaning, and the staff were lovely. Loads of travellers and socialising

It's an old building with character and good location, and look decent which is why I booked it, room was fairly big, 4 bedshare, didn't use, communal area so can't comment, shower and toilets served its purpose, and kitchen is, as most people say, very small for place that size! So very average compare to many others, Big let down was the reception I got, impersonal, unfriendly and unhelpful,

They hid Easter eggs all over the hostel for Easter morning! It was awesome.

Great position and the building itself is absolutely stunning. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the bathrooms were disgusting.

Great place to stay, people are very friendly. The hostel itself is very nice and the staff very friendly and helpfull. Had a really good time there, if I come back to Melbourne I'll definitely go to the Nunnery.

Had a really nice room with a tv (luxery!) only real negatives are paying for wifi and the kitchen is extremely small. Had to eat very early to avoid the rush.

Great location, close to trams, cafés and shops. Not every bed in our room had pillows. Friendly staff but slight issues with our party all paying separately. Bathrooms were pretty clean but some empty shampoo bottles etc were in there. Free pancakes on Sunday mornings!

We really enjoyed staying here! For the most part it was really clean and had decent size rooms. In the rooms we were in there was no AC and the fans couldn't really keep up so it was quite warm. Free breakfast was nice and the reception staff was very helpful! The location is a bit out of the way but not too far and there are trams nearby.
