It was a nice place, and they gave you sheets and a towel for your stay. I didn't like that the kitchen was closed from 10pm- 8am.

You guys are great but the hostel just isn't clean enough. Not by a long way.

Nice place with lots of character in a good location near the city centre. Take tram 96 right outside hostel and city is 5 mins away. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Good BBQ's on Fridays, and pub crawl on Thursdays. Free breakfast every day very welcome. Some staff came across as rude and patronising which was un called for but on the whole they are fine. Wifi good if a bit expensive, had food stolen on the Wednesday clean of kitchen which was disappointing, but maybe just a one off incident.

Very good hostel! Very good athmosphere, great people, lovely location! They played a lot wth their roomprices during the Australian Open tennis wich was not good for me, but still a great a great place to stay in Melbourne.

A fantastic place to stay that is very close to the museum, CBD and trams to the beach. Hostel has many places to chill out and meet other travellers. For me, having no bar on site, encourages travellers to talk to new people.

I loved everything about the Nunnery...excepted the fact that there was just one bathroom in the guesthouse. One bathroom! And the bathroom had a tube, shower stall, and toilet, so only one person could use it at a time. Tat large room would be much more useful if other toilet stalls and sowers were put in. Just a thought...

we really liked the hostel and its friendly staff. the free bbq and breakfast were amazing. all this at such a low price.

This is one of the best Hostel I have ever stayed in. Clean, nice athmosphere, very helpful and nice staff, very interesting charaterization of the place (the nunnery!). If you want to socialize the hostel gives you many opportunities to do so organizing something almost every night. If, on the other hand, you prefer to stay by yourself, the rooms upstairs offer you a very quiet place. Strongly suggested!

It's very good hostel!!!! My team member liked this. It is very clean and so beautiful. It has a very classic interiar. I recommend this hostel!!!

A hostel oozing with character and generous size of facilities. Super convenient with the doorstep tram stop into Melbourne CBD. Could look at providing free wifi or at least a couple of computers with free internet access.

lucky you if your bed is in the 2nd building (guest house) - that,s the nicest hostel we have ever stayed in.

wonderful hostel in a good location with a great atmosphere

Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful and others were not, so I gave an average review. The kitchen was consistently a mess as many people did not clean up after themselves. Too, I was awakened at 5am by a fire alarm which, I was told by the staff, goes off when it rains or when there is wind.

The cleanest hostel I stayed in! I was only scheduled to stay one night, but ended up changing my plans just to stay longer! Far from the airport, so give yourself time to walk and bus the distance unless you want to pay $50 for a taxi. Thrs Fitzroy area is awesome, very artsy cultural scene, fun night life! If you're at the hostel Thursday evening, plan to go on the pub crawl. So much fun, great way to see local bars and meet others in the hostel. The hostel also offers free breakfast!

Great atmospheric building, clean airy rooms, mbreakfast mixed clientele and a great location near good bars, restaurants and park. A great place to spend your time in Melbourne.
