Nice and clean hostel. Lounge room is really cosy, the dorms were clean and the bathrooms as well.

We were more than impressed by The Old Mount Gambier Gaol. Firstly the building is stunning and very quirky how it has maintained original features despite having a modern and new feel to it. Defiantely felt like a upmarket hostel and was great value. Lovely rooms and facilities, comfy beds and owners were extremely nice and told us the of the building and their renovations.It was a perfect start to our Great Ocean Road adventure and in fact we both said we would have loved to stay for longer.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was very cool to stay in the old gaol! The place has been done up really nicely and the information boards around the place were interesting.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. I was only there for one night but I could easily have stayed for another or more and just hung around the place! Would recommend to anyone.

Very special place! Rooms were clean but small and simple (no baisin, shelves or anything). Very friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi and easy parking in front of hostel.

one of the best backpackers i have stayed at! so clean and such good value for money! You could definitely tell that the owners have an amazing passion for the place.
