Does anyone clean the room? It's like no one does that forever. What happens to the beds? The frame is loose and it's rocking all night. Staff unfriendly. Dirty.

i booked a twin room but after seeing it we requested a different room as the wardrobe door was detached but left resting up against the wall, the broken blind only covered half of the window and the bed linen was filthy. However there were no private rooms available so we checked out and stayed elsewhere. We simply couldnt stay an hour nevermind 3 nights as planned. Staff were very understanding but they are probably used to the complaints!

One of the Worst! Not only were there bed bugs but no windows in the frame nor a screen to stop the mosquitos from attacking as well! worst atmosphere i have come across yet aswell!

In theory this should have been a great place to stay BUT with the constant drain of extra cash for wifi cutlery and use of the kitchens it became very irritating. If your on holiday this is not the place to be as it is basically a hostel full of backpackers either working or unemployed and broke. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful HOWEVER it is meant to be the best hostel in Perth so maybe it is the place to stay.

The staff at the old swan barracks was definitely not my favorite hostel. There are just to many drunk guys harassing you all the time.

Having Stayed here for 6 nights, i was happy to leave, The large social room is the best bit really, they have 3 Tv areas. Everything else you have to pay out your rear end for. Even to use an buckled Ironing board & Iron you have to leave $20 deposit. a further $20 is required for a plastic cup and plate, knife fork.Wifi they whip your trousers round your ankles for and charge $1 for 10minutes! Bathrooms need a good CLEAN. THEY SHOULD PUT MONEY BACK INTO THE BUILDING RATHER THAN POCKETING IT!

If its location your looking for this is the place, but in regards everything else i would NEVER stay there again...The place is full of scum. Every night you had some dunking fool trying to get into your room. I was staying in a four bed dorm , on 3 of the nights some random drunk guy walked in the room using some key ( he was not staff or meant to be staying in or room) there is about 300 ppl share 4 showers, which never were cleaned!! Ive stayed in many hostels, this is got to be the worst!!

This hostel is filthy, bathrooms haven't been thoroughly cleaned in weeks, possibly ever. The 6 bed dorm we stayed in was tiny and there was barely room enough room for everyone. After travelling for 6 months in mostly 3rd world countries I can say this is the worst hostel we stayed at. The staff are hit and miss aswell. There are a lot of people living here which means it has a very different sort of vibe to a normal backpacker type hostel. The halls also stink of work boots & lynx.

Not a bad hostel pretty big, bit on the pricey side like most hostels in Perth but set in a very good location (right beside the clubs in northbridge and the central train and bus stations). I actually found the guy at reception pretty helpful.

The night staff are extreemely unfriendly, the facilities are dreadful, toilets unclean, showers barely work. The rooms are very basic and the price is far too high for such a poor standard of cleanliness. Tv rooms are useless and there is a charge/deposit for absolutely everything, the location is good but for the price of the rooms the hostel should be gutted and completely re-vamped. It advertises that it is completely re-furbished... this is a lie!

The staff were awesome! The hostel I found to be severely lacking! It was dirty and in quite a state of disrepair. The room I stayed in was tiny and was shared with two long termers who didn't appreciate my one night visit. The bed was shocking, lumpy mattress through which you could feel every spring the bed. Pillow super thin and the bedding pretty grotty. No air conditioning in the room I was in.

Very dirty, noisy hostel with a horrible atmosphere. I´d never stay there again. Sleeping on the street is more comfy.

The place was good but the 10am check-out time in the morning was not good. AI flew into Perth and arrived at the hostel at 3am, paid for a full night but then had to be out by 10am, which wasn't very convenient.

Me and my girl stayed just one night at the TOSB but the recepcionist was new and couldn't help us even with basic information. Besides that, the check in is only at 2 PM and we got there on an early flight so we had to wait for hours with our luggage outside. Desnecessary in my opinion.

First, when I arrived, I found the lock of the room door was broken, and took them 2 days to repair. Second, many people put their shoes out of their room, in the corridor, it made the smell along the corridor very disgusting. Last, at the last day of my stay, I found a note stick on my door telling me there was a important message for me in the reception. Hence, I went to the reception immediately. However, the staff took over 10 minutes to give me a answer, she had no idea... (to be cts)
