Emptying courtyard at 10pm is maybe a good idea. But then the noise just moves in the front. You can't sleep in those rooms... Otherwise a nice stay. Staff was helpful and guests social. Internet sucked though...

I would recommend this hostel to young people for sure! The staff was great, the rooms were tidy and I would say we got everything we paid for. We liked the hostel so much that we went there again the second time we went to Sydney. There were a bit of noise problems but it didn't really bother me, I wouldn't come here if I was a very light sleeper, though.

This hostel is older and the rooms are dated. The best part was how close we were to things. we could walk to the opera house and the botanical gargens and the train station was only half a block away. They also pick you up at the airport. We were middle aged and this hostel is better for the younger crowd.

It´s the best Hostel in Sydney. If you book for these Hostel, you get so much for your money. And the atmosphere is like a family, from the beginning on. Thank you "Originals"..., It was a great time to stay in your Lodge!!!!!!

I really liked this hostel, particularly the character and atmosphere of the place. The one and only negative I have to point out is that the internet there is quite poor quality. It is so slow that it takes ages to get anything done. Considering that everyone has to pay for it, one would imagine that it should at the very least be of a semi-decent standard.

Originally booked only 3 nights stay as we thought it might be loud as in the middle of the party area, but ended up extended our stay twice. Great atmosphere, very comfortable, everyone is really friendly, and the staff are very helpful. The courtyard is great, and every night there is the opportunity to go out with the hostel and get free entry and free drink to a bar. Close to everything, station a few minutes walk away, and its still possible to walk into the centre. Would recommend.

The Rooms are averagely cleaned, we had a big cockroach in our room, toilets and showers were ok. The athmosphere was perfect for people who are looking for parties and company with a very nice place to sit outside and party programme every night, really nice people. Nice TV lounge. For people who love it more quiet we would not recommend it. It's VERY noisy at night, people are drinking in front of the hostel. Nice walk to the opera house and harbour bridge through the botanic garden

A very nice place to stay for about the least amount of money you'll find. I stayed there five nights and never had noise issues or problems with roommates. The staff was very helpful for all needs. I definitely recommend this hostel.

This place was perfect. Thanks for the great time! Ignore people who complain about this Hostel. The problem is with them not with the Hostel.

The friday night barbecue and bar hop was really good because we got to meet a ton of cool people and party with them for free!

I wish I had stayed there for a longer period of time. What I saw was really good but did not really have the time to mingle with the people. I reckon it would be an ideal hostel for a long-term stay!
