Really enjoyed my stay here.. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Great facilities, big kitchen and courtyard to sit in and get to know other backpackers. Was one of the cleanest hostels I have stayed in too. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again :)

Didn't really live up to expectations. Felt a bit grubby. Staff were excellent and really helpful. Facilities were ok, but computers very restricted and wifi very slow. Room itself (double en suite) was fine but little natural light. Good location near to station and could walk to opera house and harbour which was lovely. While this might seem overly critical we never felt the need to complain.

This place is a party hostel. It was dirty, smelled bad, and I saw a drug deal in the hall. This place is probably good if you are looking for a party, but it definitely not if you are looking for a night of sleep. The Kings Cross neighborhood isn't a bad location, a bit dodgy, but lots of restaurants and bars. Overall, I look for cleanliness and quiet, and this place was neither.

Ignorant guest- cleaning at a hostel is hard work and none of the staff are lazy.Kings Cross is a fantastic, vibrant area with great cafes, bars and clubs.this guest should stay at a boring hostel in a boring location!

I wouldn't recommend this hostel. I stayed in a 10 mixed dorm, and 8/10 people were french. And half of the staff. So if you're french you might enjoy, but I didn't like it as they tend to keep to themselves. Also our room door was open 24/7 and people from outside the hostel was coming and going. Big balcony and a fridge in my room was a bonus though. A lot of cockroaches, bad pressure in showers, sand and other s*it everywhere. It is in kings cross, so location was good.

I hire the staff from within the hostel. At the moment we have staff from France,Germany,Canada,The USA.the UK and Australia. We have had gay men and lesbians work for us.We like a diverse work place as that leads to a diverse hostel.Perhaps this guest had a bad experience in Paris or is just is towards the French.

A great place to go if you're a solo traveler-lots of friendly people. Toilets/ showers were clean watch out for the lights in some of the stalls, they are on a timer/motion sensor (you need to open the door to reactivate them) The common area is a great place to chill out, tv room was an added bonus for those who stay at the hostel long term. Located a stones throw from Kings Cross Station, you're close to everything- grocery store, restaurants, clubs, doctors office. Staff were helpful.

Hostel looks pretty run down and the room had very little natural light. Kitchen was pretty poor. Everything else was just ok.

The hostel was cramped and dirty. Showers had hot water though. For 35 dollars a night I have been to far better hostels. Breakfast was not included and you had to ay for wifi. Most hostels offer free wifi but this one was charging 2 dollars for 30 minutes. The location was good, but apart from that the hostel was not very good. I would suggest finding other places.

A hostel made for party people only, always noisy. The rooms, toilets and bathrooms are dirty. The "fridge" and the tv doesn't work, and you have to pay for the wifi.

I feel very disappointed for the service provided by the hostel, and will never reserve it again or recommend to anyone. I know there is some communication mistake made by both of us, but the staffs, even a manager never reply by theirselve. Even they promised they will reply me by email today, and i got nothing at all. And the staffs never told me about any cancellation progress, even i made phone call and sent email to them before, I really don't know why those wordings is that hard to say so.

Everybody can get in the hostel, even people who dont belong there. Kitchen is just gross and there was never enough pans and cutlery etc. A lot of people who have stayed there for months and created their own group. There were also a lot of nice people and we had some great nights though! Room was ok, it was big and we had a big mirror. Location was good, in the middle of kingscross. So you can expect a lot of alcohol drinking etc.

Disgusting hostel even by Australian standards. Loads of cockroaches in the room and kitchen. People smoking and doing drugs in the hallways and kitchen. Used condoms on the floor. Bathrooms were dirty and constantly smelled and filled with bugs. Wifi is expensive and very poor.Could never get on and when asked for help or a refund the staff pretended not to understand. Even though the staff are always cleaning the hostel is a dump. No A/C anywhere. Stay elsewhere.

With a quite a homely feel, this is a nice hostel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the location is great for partying and easy to get into the city and the facilities are all you need. We had a good time here!

It's in the heart of the 'party district' in sydney and manages to avoid the craziness. Unfortunately not as quiet as advertised due to (garbage?) trucks passing it every mornig at six. It's also impossible to get some sleep before 10pm , because that's when the noise has to be kept down and the young party going guests have to leave the courtyard. It could be a bit cleaner, but hey, it's a hostel. The good things about it are the friendly staff and the proximity to the botanical gardens.

Bruce and the rest of the staff are great! Our airport shuttle never came and they gave us our money back for the ticket and actually gave us some extra money for the taxi so we'd make our flight in good time. Lovely hostel, basic clean. The kitchen was a bit small and crowded but otherwise I liked the hostel very much :)

Probably the noisiest backpacking hotel I've ever stayed in, if the noise wasn't coming from the inside it was from the drunks and bin lorries outside...4 nights and no sleep...probably a decent place if you are into 24 hour partying but if you like to have a decent night's sleep, Kings Cross probably isn't the area to say in...
