DO NOT STAY HERE! Place is disgusting filthy rooms that haven't been cleaned in years, army of ants in all the washrooms climbing over the walls, unfriendly and generally slow staff that don't say hi when you walk in. Some of the staff would walk into our room in the middle of the night to look around and see if a bed was available and wake us all up. Also absolutely no safety the front door was open 24 hours a day and the staff would be sleeping on the couch. Not in a great area either.

This Hostel is in disrepair and their is not free breakfast even though they advertise it. You probably won't want to spend much time in their kitchen anyway.

Relaxed place with a good vibe. The staff was interesting: helpful, but .. somewhat.. slow-moving :D Wifi, kitchen, the works. The location is a tiny bit far from the beach and far from the Old Town, but that's San Juan, can't have everything. Hell, I liked this place, a lot. Recommended!

The Palace hostel is difinitely NOT a palace. The people living their is nice, but the working staff is lazy and use more time partying and kissing eachother, than making the hostel one that's worth staying in. 'The cleaning was bad, and they had no clue who was staying where. It's the cheapest hostel in the area and fine if you only needs a place to sleep. You can't really make any food.

Modest place. We had a private room on the third floor. One double bed and two air mattresses. Nice staff but very aloof. Mama was nice, but a stickler on using the AC. Location is the best attribute of this hostel.

Although there are quiet hours, they aren't enforced, so it's noisy pretty much all night. If you are a poor sleeper, stay somewhere else. One bathroom was out of order for part of my stay and the remaining two were always occupied. A few staff members had only arrived a handful of months before, so hadn't experienced some common places on the island, so couldn't give feedback. They don't even have maps of P.R. on hand.

Not a very nice place. I've stayed in many hostels and this is right near the bottom. Spend a little extra and go elsewhere

Door open permanently. Stafe sometimes nice sometimes very apathetic. Number of bathrooms not enough. Rooms could be bigger for the number of people that sleeps on them (there is no enough space to put the bags, etc.)

Noone at desk most of time, kitchen dirty, gate open notsecure, chairs broken, poor lighting in room and kitchen. Never sure who the staff was, I met at least four guys none who had any valuable info except for what bar to go to. Been to dozens of hostels on multiple continents. The staff here just dont care. Linen was clean and nice mattress but no customer service, too busy watching movie on computer.

1. There was no way to reach our room from the main entrance without going through an open-air area and it was raining heavily. 2. The number of electrical sockets were not sufficient enough for everyone to charge there phones. This is pretty weird, in this age of smartphones.

We had a room without any window. The air conditioning was awfully noisy and the floor bathroom was out of order. The other bathroom upstairs was just filthy. Staff friendly and helpful.

This hostel has a great location if you want to party and hit the strip clubs. I would recommend it for this type of stay. The place is pretty ghetto but for the price it makes sense that it is ghetto. The air conditioning is ice cold in the room and the sheets were clean. None of the common areas have AC and the chairs are all semi-broken and uncomfortable. They charge 11.5% extra tax. Bottomline: Strip clubs and drinking: this is your place. Beach and tourism: look elsewhere.
