So we arrived and were walked up to our room through the smells of Cigarets, then stail beer, and finally some weirdd perfume akin to urinal cakes, we had no hot water for the first 24 hours and was not fixed until the 2nd time we spoke to the staff. There is a shower in the room which causes the room to become quite damp. There is also the problem of the disco downstairs which you can here on Thursday-Saturday.

Dear Mr Spence, thank you for bring this to my attention but i was a bit surprised as when i spoke to you and your lady at breakfast you told me everything was Great. As I am sure your are aware we are a business operating as a Guest house that provides entertainment on certain evenings. In order to provide the best possible service to all our patrons it is not always possible to " please all the people ,all of the time",but we endeavor to meet all the needs to the best of our ability.with reference to the heating problem i would like to apologies as at that time we did have a problem with our boiler but this was rectified within 12 hours from my knowledge of this. As regarding the music downstairs it clearly states that we provide a variety of entertainment on given nights and if we had been asked when you made your booking we could have located you on a higher floor away from the music regard peter

I felt hitchy after staying an hour in the room (on the bed) watching telly. I was even worse during the night. Allergy to I don't know what but it had never happened to me in other places. That will leave a bad memory, but overall it was grand! I was on the last floor so didn't hear the music downstairs too much. Nobody to help at breakfast.

Dear Miss Abecasis, thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at our guest house, sorry if you feel it was not up to your expectations however as it is the only complaint we have received concerning this matter it may well be as you mentioned in your email that you may have an allergy to either the fabrics involved(bedding and linen) or washing powder, something over which we have no control, I have brought to the attention of our laundry supplier.thank you again for bringing this to matter to our attention and hopefully your experience will not deter you from making a return visit. regards peter

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I thought the room was generally shabby soggy and chilly. The shower being placed in the room would contribute to the sogginess. As a quick fix I would stay at the Parador but I was pleased to get out of there the next day.

Dear Mr Conroy, thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at our guesthouse. In your email you state that the staff were "friendly and helpful" before going on to criticize your stay here, yet you say you would stay at the parador again.if staff were as "helpful as you say why did you not approach one of them and tell of your problems your were having. we try to cater for all our patrons to the best of our ability but certain matters are not reported to us, we can Recife them .i hope your experience will deter you from making a return visit and hope to see you soon regards peter

We cannot say enough nice things about Peter because he treated us like family. He sincerely wanted to accommodate our every need: directions, parking, restaurants to try, must sees in Belfast, including pubs, transportation, and even some history lessons! The staff in the pub was helpful and friendly, too!
