Great hostel to spend the night after landing in Hobart. Kind of loud during the night, but very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Not a bad place to use as a base for tassy travel!

lovely staff, good location, great free trip up to mt wellington, lovely fires and great bit of history to the place. Very reasonable little bar in reception as well. free internet a plus. didn't use kitchen but looked ok.Saturday market lovely, great places to eat in hobart. Port arthur good day trip. National park leave early if driving - long drive and in winter shorter hours for daylight. Hobart was lovely.

Cool place to just hang out and/or meet people. It's within easy walking distance of the town center and less than a block from the airport shuttle. The few downsides come with the well-deserved popularity. I would definitely stay here again.

Room for 6 persons was a complete mess and only 1 person was living there, obviously for a longer time... Kitchen was a chaos as well as the dining areas. If you fancy to cook a proper meal by yourself, this is not the place for it. Location is good and kitchen ok incase you need only hot water for a cup of tea.

This hostel has a lot of cool character. The rooms are basic but have everything you need for a short stay. There was always plenty of space in the shared bathrooms and hot water. There isn't much to choose from at this budget price in Hobart and I would say that this is one of the better places. Plus they have loads of tourism information and even some free tours. We'll definitely be going back to take advantage of this.

One of the best I've ever stayed at. Great community vibe with all residents, massive communal spaces, awesome staff and great coffee :) If anything a few extra private rooms would be an excellent addition as showers and kitchen get a little contested, but other than that, faultless. It's a no brainier, you have to stay here :)

Very friendly staff and guests. A little tired looking but better than most hostels I've stayed at. Only down side was the sweat stained quilts and pillow!

The staff were unfailingly helpful, even checking when I thought I'd left my mobile in the apartment. We enjoyed being close to central Hobart and being aided in getting the most from our visit.

Loved the staff, help with information, rooms were a bit creaky and kitchen was a tad small, but great! Free beer too solo....
