Superb hostel, one of the best I've ever stayed in. Hostel has a real home from home feel and vibe which the superb staff foster constantly. The mulled wine is also awesome! Cant recommend this place enough, Jimmy and Emma do a fantastic job with the place.

Free wifi would be good! And a couple of times I had to have a lukewarm shower. But a really good hostel with a good vibe.

Get what you pay for and about what I expected. Staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the tables with power points in the common area so I could plug in my netbook while using it.

The facilities upstairs are tired and in need of a facelift. The sheets were a distinct shade of grey! The showers and toilets were a bit grubby but....... Having now moved on to Sydney and have something to compare it with....the set up at the PF was great. Staff were so friendly and eager to help - couldn\'t have done more. The reception area was always welcoming and I definitely felt safe there. A welcoming community.

Really good place. Cheap beers, cool communal area, big kitchen. Didn't use too many facilities to be honest but those I did were good. Hot water took a while to come on on one occasion but that was about as much as I could muster as far as criticism goes. Great place

What you should improve: the beds are too old; carpet is old-fashioned and not good for those who have allergies; the hot water takes too long on the bath; the is no cold water in sinks girl's bathroom; the were so many electronic devices broke in the kitchen; you should have a ventilation system in the living-room and kitchen (both of these places stink)

I chose this hostel because it was the top rated one in Hobart when I booked it. The most disappointing thing was that the hostel seems run down especially the kitchen area. Though I saw a cleaner in the morning it seemed not very clean as the facilities are older. It would be great if the owners would spend some money to modernise this hostel and bring it up to the higher standards I have seen in other hostels around the world.

Only there one night but it was great, can't really fault the hostel on anything. The kitchen was in need of a clean, but that's the nature of communal kitchens. Very comfy beds with enough space to store bags underneath, and super cheap drinks (should have kept the bar open later though). I was there on the hottest day in Hobart history and the rooms were still cool. The only suggestion would be for the bathrooms, shower curtains and a little bench to put clothes on would have been good. Merci!

Shared toilet was worse of it's kind. Dirty and it gives a person feeling it's open air bathing.

The worst bed ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You couldn't move without making a big noise. And now imagine 8 people in one room... However the hostel was nice and the staff was very friendly.

The staff was friendly and helpfull. The kitchen was pretty small for the size of the hostel and could use some upgrades (more stoves, sharp knives and new frying pans). When I was there only 1 in 3 computers had working internet. The atmosphere is best described by the Lonely Planet Australia: "party-central for shaggy backpackers" - not much to add there ;)
