All good!!! The stuff was very helpfull. The room was very small, but no problem- you are there for sleep! The Pillar is near to the temple Bar. Around the hostel are many shops.

We had a really nice stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got plenty of towels and a second blanket. The roomes were clean and the showers too, okay there are only 2, but we were there at the Easter weekend and we never had to wait for the showers. The location is great, 2 minutes walking to O'Connell Street.Luggage storage on our last day wasn't a problem! The value for money is excellent! You get more than what you pay for!

The Pillar is not worth the name "Bed&Breakfast". Although there is still some sign on the inside saying "Breakfast from 8-10" and we got up early to receive it, we were told they didnt offer breakfast any more for about a year. We had to pay 28€ when we arrived, but we only had 30, we were told by the "receptionist" he would give us the change later that day, we never saw him again on that 1 night stay. There are only 2 bathrooms per floor that are occupied most of the time.

Very basic but i have no problems with this as you get what you pay for. Its a place to lay your head .... not really a hostel or a b&b or a hotel ..... no atmosphere or character at all. only 2 showers in whole buidling which meant we checked out late at 11.30am for which we receveived a cheeky comment from one of the staff even though we had to wait while checking in because the people in our room were also waiting on the showers before checking out. did the job but wouldn't stay again.

When we got there, we are pretty sure that the woman at the front desk was performing fellacio on a random man. We left to get some food and when we came back, that man was locked out and just standing outside of the door, so we had to walk around for another 15 minutes before he was gone. She also didn't speak any English (at all, not just "not well"). She charged my credit card and the next day hunted us down to try to charge us again. It was a weird and uncomfortable experience all around

Unbeatable location and good value for money as far as cleanliness and basic accomodation is concerned, but on my second night there was a group up and down the stairs, crashing through the fire doors and ringing the buzzer downstairs without even ONE minute's peace from 9pm until almost 2 in the morning. I had to get up at 5 to get to the airport - not great. Did not feel safe.

The owner Michael is a very welcoming guy. I wish you all the success Michael. If I come back to Dublin I will go to the pillar.

Great value for money and very nice staff. Only downsides for me are the lack of lockers, and the showers not always working well.
