I booked for 5 nights, left after 1. Very disappointing. If you're looking for a party hostel, this is a good option - but only if your idea of a party is getting blind drunk in the hostel bar with a bunch of british and aussie 19 yearolds. Forget about a good nights sleep. Staff don't seem to care about guests for anything other than pushing them into the bar, and don't enforce any of the rules (especially about smoking indoors or noise after 12am). Moved to Casa Kiwi and highly recommend it

We met some awesome people at the Pit Stop Hotel in Medellin. The Hostel is a short walk from clubs, the metro system and shops in the area. Rooms were clean and well appointed, hot water was available. Slow and unreliable internet access is the only downside. Probably a good thing though - you dont stay at this hostel to spend all your time on facebook!

Pros: great vibe, awesome security, safest and most beautiful location in Medellin, great movie selection, great facilities. Cons: majority of staff are lazy (apart from irish owner). wifi connection is horrible - always drops out, restaurants food is way too overpriced for it's lackluster quality.

The best Hostal in Colombia by far!!!! The staff were very helpful and good fun! I have been to Medellin before and stayed in other Hostals, none of them come close to the quality of the Pitstop Hostal. The all round space the Hostal has is unbelievable with the Pool, Irish Bar and Basketball court/ Football Pitch it really is a great place to stay.

A big hostel with a fun vibe, great choice if you've come to Medellin to party as it's usually quite full. Really comfy TV room for hangover days too. Big kitchen for cooking your own stuff and a restaurant attached- good pizzas but stay away from the pitas! They didn't have much in the way of organised nights, drinking games, BBQs etc while we were there but I think its something they're working on!

Daytime staff was not very helpful at all here. The place is not super clean. The location was good. Met a bunch of other travelers who wanted to go out and have fun at night so that was really good.

Nice cosy hostel with a good bar and nice place to hang out by the pool. Breakfast was good and cheap. Good kitchen. We had hot water in our shower.

Excellent hostel, friendly helpful staff. Great facilities. Excellent safe location. Only problem was the party reptuation seems to be a thing of the past as things have quitened down, also seem to arrive at a quiet period.

It´s got it all, pool, irish bar, pool table, sauna and more. It´s a real party hostel, so if your not into that then probably avoid. But it is a good hostel.

By far one of the most unique and welcoming hostels on the gringo trail. my planned stay of 2 weeks ended 12 weeks later! What separates this hostel from the rest is the sheer size&amount of outdoor amneties availbable: swimming pool (cleaned daily), volleyball&basketball courts, fantastic bar, spacious kitchen for cooking as well as a serviced restaurant that offers exceptionally tasty and affordable meals. the staff and owner are always approachable and will go out of their way to help you.

Pretty good all round, no breakfast and you have to pay for everything including the internet and the steam room etc. Good facilities though. Restaurants opening times are very variable and they often don't have any ingredients.
