Women make the world go round... maybe that's what this hostel is missing. The glaring lack of women (except on the friendly staff) kind of sets the tone for this spot. It's kind of like a Club Med for Bros. The upside is that there's Friday Night Poolside BBQs... the downside is that it feels a bit too much like a a frat house. Even if you're happily married, or not looking to laid for some other (strange) reason, you might find yourself wishing there was one or two nice ladies around.

Location was out of town, it was a 10 to 15 minute walk to the metro to get into town. Some of the staff were not as helpful as I would have liked and sometimes it seemed as tho they were annoyed when you ask them questions. Other than that the stay was good and we met a lot of cool people.

3 nights. not far from EXITO supermarket & metro. Shared a 10 bed dorm which had 2 toilets & 2 showers. Pity is that there's no locker in the room. It's in a dedicated space. One night I came back at 8pm and there was a BBQ organized for I heard 10.0000 COP which seemed great but I would have liked to know about it like, the reception should tell or make a visible panel during the day this was going to happen as it's a way to meet people. So very minor drawback. WIFI was working in my room. :)

A good hostel with cool people, a pool, good bar with pool table and dart board, great tv room and a good big kitchen. But you have to PAY for the use of the internet. UNFORGIVABLE.

Was a good hostel an a nice city , they have allthat u possible need for a pleasant stay in Medellin the only bad thing was that my bed was close to some electricity cables that were exposed without any cover , i hope they can fix that soon.

We absolutley loved our stay at the pit stip hostel! It was a great time with great people in a fantastic location! Throughout our travels we have recommended the hostel to backpackers on their way to Medellin. The city was also one of my favorties in Colombia. We hope to return and go back to the pit stop. The pool, the dogs, the bar, the hammocks were all just a few perks of this hostel! One of our best hostel experience!

Great place to stay. The rooms are just fine, but the facilities are pretty damn cool. Plenty of quality space to relax. Great place to meet fellow travellers as well. Medellin is simply amazing in so many ways... enjoy!

I arrived very early and was given a bed anyway. They were very nice and helpful with everything. And the other guests were great as well. Although the noise from the front room was a bit much early in the morning due to the location.

If you are looking for a great time where you can enjoy yourself at the hostel as well as in the outside world then Pit Stop Hostel is the one! We made great friends there, partied every night, played lots of table tennis and pool and one of the staff members even took us out salsa dancing. The hostel also has great information about many available tours. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will recommend it to friends.

Awesome staff, especially Sebastian and Diana, such nice guys! Particularly, i don't intend to hang at the hostel too much time when i'm traveling, because hey, yo're there to know the city, right? But Pit Stop is so cool when you just have to chill out, after a hangover or when preparing for a night out. You got a swimming pool, pool table, table tennis, table football, darts, volley court, basketball table, even mini football posts. It's awesome. And the neighbourhood is also very cool.

The hostel on a whole wasn't too bad, was clean and had good facilities like the football pitch, swimming pool and tv room... However the hostels atmosphere was appalling, everyone staying there seemed closed off and quite hostile! No-one intergrated with each other like you find at other hostels. Also the location wasn't great.... A good fifteen minute walk from the cities main area where all the bars, restaurants and clubs are! Other hostels I noticed were in that area....

We booked 6 dormitory but it was tiny..The ceiling was low and the room light was right under the top bunk. We were able to move to a spacious 12 dormitory but en suite showers were out of order and as we were not told so we waited for ages for hot water to come. Some guests brought non room users in the dorm and made lots of noises like having a little party at early hours of morning. Staff did nothing to stop them although the dorm was located just by the reception. we're glad to leave.

Highlight of this big hostel is the large outside area, perfect for hanging out, swimming or playing sports. The tv room is also great and they have lots of recent films. Rooms are comfortable and enough showers. Staff were helpful overall but the hostel arranged a few events that never happend which was a shame. There is a good opportunity to have a good activity program here with a little effort. Lastly the location is great and close to the metro and the nightlife.
