It\'s still one of the best Hostels in Medellín. Too bad they became so tough on partying

My favorite part of the Pit Stop was the resources available for trips through the area and suggestions for things to do within the city. The staff were knowledgeable. There was a wide range of room styles to choose from. My only complaint was there were some boisterous travelers staying who would be loud at all hours of the day, but we were really only there to sleep after a long day sightseeing so despite the noise we fell asleep.

Great hostel! Sandra and Diana are the bomb. Paul , the owner, well he was a Man United fan and I tried to tell him that they suck. Anyway, he didn't listen and the superior team, Man City, won the title. Sorry Paul, your team sucks. At least you're hostel is the best I've been to in Colombia! Cheers!

Dorm rooms differ but I was in one above the bar. Bar closer at 1am so pretty noisy if you want early night. Bathrooms outside but hot.

This is cock fest central and seems to attract all the doosh bags, it is extremely noisy and has an anti social atmosphere with most people sticking to thier little groups. The hostel itself is very nice and layed out well...except for accommodation above the bar. The staff are really nice and helpful.

Didn\'t have the frat house vibe that I read about, which was good. Still great for socializing and quiet enough for sleeping. Mango room was immaculate with plenty of hot,hot water. Staff was great. No complaints here.

The Pit Stop Hostel: I think this hostel is the best place to stay as a backpacker, it has great location with short distances to every facility. I like that where i live is smooth and clean, which Pit Stop fulfilled every expectation. Thanks to everyone at Pit Stop, especially Paul.

Pros: Clean... the cleaners here are busy scrubbing and cleaning this place night and day. There are lots of recreational things to do at the hostel... good atmosphere to meet people and party. Cons: Front desk staff were not as knowledgeable as we would have hoped. They are busy watching soap operas and music videos from the 90s on youtube. This is a party hostel, so take it for what it is. We had to move rooms because there was noise down by the pool until 2am.

Great Facilities, awesome TV room and bar.Nice staff but.owner was kind of cold and somewhat rude.Location super nice/safe but not a ton of places to go that are less then a 15 min walk away

I booked for 5 nights, left after 1. Very disappointing. If you're looking for a party hostel, this is a good option - but only if your idea of a party is getting blind drunk in the hostel bar with a bunch of british and aussie 19 yearolds. Forget about a good nights sleep. Staff don't seem to care about guests for anything other than pushing them into the bar, and don't enforce any of the rules (especially about smoking indoors or noise after 12am). Moved to Casa Kiwi and highly recommend it

We met some awesome people at the Pit Stop Hotel in Medellin. The Hostel is a short walk from clubs, the metro system and shops in the area. Rooms were clean and well appointed, hot water was available. Slow and unreliable internet access is the only downside. Probably a good thing though - you dont stay at this hostel to spend all your time on facebook!
