Had a lot of fun here, but all the rules are a bit of a joke. for example you aren't allowed in alcohol from outside forcing you to buy drinks from there bar which are inexplicably more expensive than your average restaurant etc in the surrounding neighbourhood. all in all though, i enjoyed my stay, very much a party hostel friday saturday. A few organised events wouldn't go astray though, like a pub crawl etc.

Cool hostel, helpful staff, nice comfy beds and hot water is always a bonus! staff were overly strict though about socialising after midnight! literally even talking quietly one on one is deamed too much so you have to go sit in the tv room! other than that pretty fun, but not as wild as i was expecting!

The Pit Stop was my favorite hostel in South America thus far! The beds were comfortable, the showers hot, and the staff kept the room very clean despite my sloppy roommates. The atmosphere is definitely lively on weekends, so don't stay on weekends if you're looking for something mellow.

Most of the staff is very nice and helpful and it's a relaxed atmosphere but also a good place to meet fellow travelers and party! Wish you could use the computers free of charge.

The facilities were great, with a pool, movie room, soccer/basketball court and a volleyball court too. Location is in a very nice area in Medellin which also is close to many bars and restaurants and malls etc. also fairly close to the poblano metro station. We did the Eacobar tour which was interesting. It's a bit expensive at 60,000 pesos however. But we met Pablo's brother Roberto who also signed a copy of the DVD and took pictures with us which was well worth the price of admission!

Good hostel helpful staff and good atmosphere, close the nightlife in Zona Rosa and a short walk to the excellent metro into the city.

Awesome party hostel with loads of facilities - bar, swimming pool, TV room, loads of computers. Good location only 5 minutes away from Zona Rosa and the staff are really friendly and helpful

Party hostel! If you are looking for a place to sleep all day and drink and do coke all night, you've found paradise, otherwise this place is to be avoided. Rooms were muggy with no ventilation, kitchen was messy, bathroom floors always flooded. In the swankiest part of Medellin, which was nice. Staff were not helpful, mostly just under aged girls with attitude problems and braces. I would not recommend his hostel.

No lockers in the room, they only have small ones near reception which was inconvenient. Bar closes at midnight and no alcohol allowed after that. One of the guys behind the bar was one of the rudest staff members I've ever met in a hostel. Loved the pool area, was easy to meet fellow travellers and relax or party. TV Room is awesome and comfy. Dorms were good size, as were the bathrooms. No aircon in my room - got really hot and stuffy. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for christmas. Was a little wild. Dont expect to much sleep. Great of you want a party. Needed a few days to recover. Bar is expensive and happy hour is really only 1 hour. Bar staff get ratty if you want to pay cash instead of using a tab. Anthony does good activities most nights. You wont be bored

Stayed here over Xmas & NY and was a good buzz. 75 people + for Xmas dinner with all the trimmings. A treat to have a brussel sprout in SA!! Hostel facilities are excellent whether it be TV room or bar, surprised the bar doesn't do food but can use the kitchen and all manner of takeaway options available so that fills the gap. Hats off to Phil the barman as well who if the vibe is right brings out the DJ equip.....A very good hostel.......

This hostel was perfect for meeting people. Not quite a party hostel as many people say. The lights and music in the bar and pool area go off at midnight. Closer to the metro the all the other hostels.

Seemed like a great place to meet people but it must just depend on the crowd that's there at the time. Felt like it must typically be a macho crowd that's not very welcoming to newcomers, but that could just be based off our four days there. The pool and hammocks were great!

Location within walking distance to most popular bars and metro stop. Also Only 5 blocks from supernarket. More of a party scene, but curfew at midnight, so still good night sleep. The bathrooms were always clean. I would recommend to other travelers.

We had a great stay at Pit Stop. It is a lively hostel so perhaps not for you if you are looking for peace and tranquility! That said, the TV room is big and has loads of comfy sofas and movies to watch for hangover days too. The pool is decent and there is table tennis, volley ball, pool, basketball and football plus daily organised actvities. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back :o)

Don't be put off by the party reputation this place is so large you can easily avoid the noise if that's what your afraid of! Showers were hot with good pressure. No roaches. Excellenct large tv room with lots of couches for everyone so good for those chill out days after a hard night of partying. Like any hostel it's who's there at the time that makes your stay. A bit away from the main square but well worth it compared to other hostels I stayed at (tiger paw). Definately recommend!
