Bed was comfortable and warm. The bar was good fun, the food was yum and the bar/breakfast staff nice. The reception staff could be a bit friendlier. In colder times it would be nice to have an indoor chill area that's not the bar.
I only stayed one night before and after my Machu Picchu adventure but the beds are comfortable (pillows a little lumpy but the bed felt amazing after hiking for 4 days) and the showers are hot with good pressure. There's always someone in reception watching the locked door which is nice but the lockers in the rooms smelled weird. Don't forget your own lock!
Good location, pretty chilled out, receptionist was a looker so can't complain
Main door is permanently locked with a buzzer at reception - with only one receptionist, if they're not at the desk you'll have to wait to get in. My receptionist (a dude, can't remember name) didn't have any idea what he was doing and didn't even greet us when we walked it. Just stared. Not only do none of the doors have locks, they don't even have knobs - free to swing open and let the freezing air in. Good lockers, great warm showers and clean toilets. Lots of bedding and blankets.
Manager very helpful. Patio area could do with more chairs/beanbags. Great location.
This Hostel was cheap and good, I got a lot of fun at the bar, the location is excellent.
