I stay in Lima a lot, so I decided to check out the Point for a quick overnight. I had to catch a plane early the next morning, so I was looking for a place to meet a few nice people and get a couple of hours sleep. Unfortunately the rooms are all situated right off the bar, and the music was blasting until 1am. Basically, you can't expect to get any sleep until 3am. The staff told me that they "assume everyone is at the party". I love a good party, but noise until 3am is excessive.

This hostel was great for a few nights in Lima, in a good area close to everything. The atmosphere in the bar was great and the food from the kitchen excellent. Hostel doesnt have a private kitchen for your own cooking, but the food is good and cheap.

I've stayed at a few hostels around the world, and no lie this is by far my favorite one I've stayed. My friend Tim and I were talking about how our trip to Peru wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for The Point in Lima. This hostel really knows how to party and made great friends while being there. Danny at reception is the man, was really accommodating because we weren't sure exactly how long our stay was going to be at the hostel. I definitely recommend this place!

I am travelling alone, and when I first got to the point I made friends right away! I had no problems during my stay. When I went on to Cuzco I stayed at the point there as well, which is even better! It isn´t a quiet hostel but it´s good if you like to party or are an easy sleeper!

The hostel itself was nice: good dorms, bathrooms, outdoor area and TV room. I thought the vibe was a little weird though. The Point is a chain hostel, and that was very obvious here; it felt really corporate and not unique. The crowd when I was there was more of a "suitcaser" crowd instead of backpackers, meaning that most people there were on short vacations, and just passing through. The price and location made it an alright place to stay, but I wouldn't go back.

There are only tiny lockers which might fit a netbook and passport etc but nothing else. No lockers for backpacks. It was a really fun place though with free pool table, decent bar and nice garden. Someone at reception helped me book a bus to trujillo, the lockers was the only issue.

Stayed over Halloween and had a great party. the place is clean and if you want a night out it`s a good place to go. If you want to stay in and watch a film it isn`t as bar is next to the TV area with no door and regardless of anyone being in the bar the music is loud from about 7pm. Overall would recommend though. (Bit annoying that I had to book on hostelworld everyday though as it was S/7 more to book at reception!!)

Nice hostel. We stayed only for the night and it was good enough. Looked like a partying kind of hostel. It has a HUGE playroom (or chilling out room). Great place, really.

The Point in Lima was excellent! So good in fact I moved to their hostel in Cusco. It is a super fun place right near the beach. Edwin knows how to show you a good time in the bars of Lima and the staff are very friendly. Ana is great for helping you book excursions on the town or even trips to get you to your next destination. The rest of the staff were helpful too although I forget most of their names. I met lots of great people and will be going back there when I have to fly home from Lima.
