We arrived at 03:00 in the morning after our flight to Santiago was delayed and were very pleased to get a warm welcome when we did! We'd only booked one night, and were a bit disappointed there was no room left for us during the rest of our stay in Santiago, but we still managed to have a pleasant breakfast in the courtyard and to get some good advice on stuff to do from the staff before departing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Princesa Insolente Hostel in Santiago. The atmosphere is great, everyone is very friendly, and its obvious that they have put a lot of effort into making sure that everything looks really good! The breakfast is good but basic, which is fine. There were a number of plug sockets in our room that didn't work properly which was a little annoying. The showers are amazing! Overall, this hostel is really good and we would definitely recommend.

"La Princessa Insolente" has to be one of the most well thought out hostels I've stayed in. It's clear that a lot of thought and care has been put into the building providing all the little things that make the difference. A lovely large kitchen is a pleasure to use and the courtyard is a great place to hang out with a cold beer. The staff are super friendly and willing to help out with anything they can. I had a great stay at a great place, the hardest part is moving on!

I don't normally write reviews like this, but this has to be one of the best hostels I've stayed in since arriving in South America almost 4 months ago. A very chilled out atmosphere and great staff members were the highlights, not to mention the biggest and most comfortable beds I've seen in a hostel over the past 8 years of travelling. The location is also great, with plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. I would definitely head back there, should I return to Santiago...

The princesa isolente hostel was one of the most beautiful hostels I ever stayed in :)! I loved it there, especially the vibe was amazing I stayed in the 10 bed dorm, but you have so much privacy there it doesnt feel like a 10 bed dorm! The beds are really comfortable and you also have a reading light in every bed! The staff was very helpful, you can use the computers for free, watch tv or just chill out... I can really recommend this place!

La Princesa Insolente is a great hostel in Santiago. It's very well located, not far from the bus terminal and in a very safe neighborhood. It's not too far from Bellavista, but there is a lot of nightlife in Barrio Brasil too. The staff were very helpful in giving advice for things to do and they were fun to hang out with. Bathrooms and rooms were clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast includes eggs for you to cook, which is a nice change from toast and dulce de leche/jam.

The love to details in this hostel is big, everywhere nice decoration and small things, which make a stay in a hostel so much better. very big & comfy bunkbeds, comfy pillows, even "privacy-curtains". kitchen is very very well equiped, lounge areas are cool. but its getting hot in the rooms without real windows, air con would be a big plus. didnt like much the area the hostel is located. could have more showers. nice hostel to meet cool people and hang out. friendly staff.

This is a great place to stay while in Santiago, would definitely recommend to friends. This is my 3rd time staying here. Good and close to metro station so not too far from central city or bus terminals. Supermarket nearby and very helpful staff! All you could want really...

Loads of character & quirks in the layout, beautiful kitchen, great bathrooms & showers, excellent breakfast (with eggs provided to cook how you like them), fun atmosphere with no fuss.. wished we could have stayed here more than a night, we'll be sure to book this one on our return to Santiago!!

Good atmosphere, cleanliness and location. The courtyard is a great place to meet other people and the kitchen facilities are excellent. The main problem is that there isn't a lot of space. The dorms are pretty crowded and there is little room to change near the showers. The staff are variable – some are friendly and enthusiastic, others are more aloof. Overall, a decent place to stay for younger backpackers.

Nice hostel, clean. Not much atmosphere. Breakfast was poor. I paid 8000 Chileans for the. Barbecue on Thursday nite. I witnessed the guy cooking the barbecue drop a large piece of chicken on the ground and place it back on the grill. I told him to put it in the bin but he just laughed. So I wasn't too impressed with that. But all in all it wasn't great value for money. Beds were comfy but lack of a fan or air con made the rooms very hot at night. I wouldn't stay here again.
