Trevor and Lisa are the most helpful crew ever! The beds are clean, the rooms are secure with locked boxes and hostel is only 2 blocks away from the city centre. If you are not into partying, this is the perfect hostel for you. Oh, and they also have a pretty neat guitar there!

This was hands-down the best hostel I have ever stayed at! Lisa and Trevor were the most wonderful hosts - they took the time to get to know each an every one of their guests and it was more like staying with friends than a group of strangers! The hostel was in a great location, clean and beautifully decorated (and they even had nice loo paper!) We were given recommendations on where to go, what to do, and the best places to eat, and were not disappointed! I cannot flaw it!

It was my first experience with staying at the hostel and I couldn't be more lucky! The place is cosy and clean, gives the impression of a big appartment rather than a hostel. The owners are lovely people, helpful with everything, warm and friendly, even after check out and moving to a friend's place I popped in for a coffee and chat. I will definitely come back there and I'll recommend it to everybody who goes to Tallinn.

What a fantastic little hostel! Lisa and Trev were so friendly and welcoming, they made it feel like you were just staying at a friend's house for a couple days. They were really helpful in their recommendations with what to see, do, and eat in the city. Great location as well.

Very friendly and helpful couple running the hostel. Great if you want a calm relaxing place to stay. Not a very big hostel if you are looking for a big party. Very clean.

Loved chatting with Lisa and Trev. You guys are so sweet. I hope you all the best this summer! Beds were comfy, even though they were a little low and I hit my head a few times, haha. Only one bathroom for everybody, but while I was there it was never a problem. Cozy atmosphere. Great place to come home to and feel like you're crashing with, very clean, friends.

The Purple Goblin is an apartment-style hostel, and this means that you will find a very nice and friendly atmosphere there, with the two owners that will make you feel at home. The number of beds is limited, so you will probably get to know almost everybody in the apartment. This is definitely not a party hostel, so if you are planning to have some crazy party I suggest you to choose a different hostel. The only drawback is that there is only one bathroom...

We had a great time here! The hostel is very small, but it's brand new and really cute. Felt like we were staying at a friend's house. The owners Lisa and Trevor are the greatest! They were REALLY helpful and went out of their way to help us! The only downfall would be the fact that there was only one bathroom and it might get a little busy if the place is fully booked. Any ways, it's always clean!

Very well located near a market, café and just a short walk from the old town. The owner-couple is very friendly and helpful in every way. This is a new apartment and everything was nice and clean. I hope to be back in beautiful Tallinn and will try to stay at the Purple Goblin again. Highly recommended.

Best hostel I've ever stayed at! Trevor and Lisa really want to know everyone that comes through their door and are always eager to interact with their guests and share their extensive knowledge of Tallinn and the surrounding area. I actually saw them express a little disappointment over the fact that they hadn't been able to get to talk to one of their guests as much as they'd like! They really are in it for the love of the job and it shows! I would definitely stay there again if ever returned

Absolutely Brilliant. Trev and Lisa made everyone feel at home, and were especially good at introducing you to everybody else in the hostel - always welcome when travelling alone! They were very knowledgeable about tallinn and were full of tips about where to eat, drink etc. The one downside could be that there is only one bathroom, but I didn't have to wait long at all when I stayed there. Location couldn't be better really, very close to the old town and some really good bars and clubs.

New apartment feel, unlike most hostels you'd stay in. Small hostel, with helpful hosts, so has a pretty regular apartment sharehouse feel.

Wow - what a hostel! You drop in and get a coffee offered and the city map with all the interesting spots and restaurants explained - Great! The hostel is actually a big flat close to the city centre in which the owners live and two rooms for hostel accomodation in it. With the excellent explanation it is easy to find even if you decide not to take a Taxi. Definitely to be recommended to everyone visiting beautiful Tallinn!

The Purple Goblin hostel is easily the best hostel I've ever stayed in. It's clean, the owners are friendly and are on hand 24/7 and it's relatively small so it's perfect if you want a quiet one in. Overall the hostel gives off a very homely vibe and I would recommend it to everyone!

If you're visiting Tallinn, do stay at The Purple Goblin. Located right near Freedom Square at the edge of the Old Town, makes for a convenient places to stay and owners Trev and Lisa make you feel welcome the moment you arrive. They are genial and helpful hosts, pointing out the best places to visit and eat in the city. The hostel is immaculately clean. It's not a party hostel, so don't come anticipating wild parties going into the early hours, but Tallinn has plenty of places to do just that

Amazing!! Definitely the best hostel I have ever stayed at and Trev an Lisa made everyone so welcome. They go out of their ay to ensure you have an enjoyable stay in Tallinn and you could not ask for more! I had booked a different hostel at first but met a friend in Riga who recommended the Purple Goblin so I changed my booking and I am so glad I did. Perfect for solo travellers as they get everyone involved and you could not stay at a better hostel. The hostel has everything you need!!!

Brilliant place to stay. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Never before met owners of a hostel who care so passionately about making sure you enjoy your time in a city.
