Great hostel, although quite clicky as a lot of people were long-termers!

Found most travellers stayed here long term. Some staff members working at night weren't too helpful on the other hand some staff members were helpful. Overall was ok place to stay, easy access to the beach.

The worst hostel I've ever stayed in! The guests are 90% long-termers that had completely taken over the place, rooms, common area and kitchen! Loud music played all day/night in common areas so screaming was the only way to talk. All staff lives there so if you have complaints they tell you to have some beers to get over it! Most guests are rude and disrespectful leaving room door open at all times and talking loudly nighttimes when other guests were trying to sleep.

Lots of people for the long stay, only a few for short stays. The hostel is a complete English / British enclave from a young age, which is a shame if you're looking for international backpackers. Staff was very helpful and the hostel was pretty clean. Loads of poop ppl begging for money outside and very noisy in the weekend.

The room I was given, didn't have any place to lock up my stuff. Yes, there were 'lockers' in the room, but all the locks do not have keys. Except for one, which was apparently used by one of the long-stayers. the rest of us just had all our stuff all over the place, with no way to secure them. I had paid for a 10-person room, in essence, I got a converted bedroom, with a non-functioning kitchen and choked sink. The ensuite bathroom was filthy, and the light in the room was broken.

Not bad, would have been better had it not been on top of a very busy Pub blasting out very loud music late into the night. Overall, pretty good, could have done with a cleaner bed spread.

I stayed here for the F1 so wasn't out partying every night, as this is above a pub the music was very loud at the weekends and people in the hostel were very loud too. Great place to stay if you are going out a lot of don't mind a lot of noise, not so much if you need an early night. The free wifi wasn't great either, couldn't ever get a signal.

Had a mint time at this hostel! Staff were very friendly and all the people there were great :-)

Very nice place, I'll come back without any hesitation !

I love the location and the room is big and clean. But it's hot like hell if you go in summer, especially when you're in upper bunk, there's only standing fan

This hostel was fantastic: my favourite in Australia so far! The staff were fun and friendly and got involved with everyone; it had a fun, party vibe. The facilities were great, kept very clean. The kitchen had one of the best layouts I'd seen in a hostel: spacious and clean. I would 100% recommend this hostel: the place to be to have a fun time and meet some fantastic new people.

Fantastic staff who will go out of their way to help with any problems. Location is great: next to the beach and trams, supermarkets in short walking distance. Whole place is kept clean and staff are visibly keeping everything in shape. If staying on Saturday take earplugs as the pub below can get noisy until early in the morning.

Nice double room unfortunately very noisy at the weekend (irish pub open till 3 am)

It's a great place to party and meet people, the kitchens also not bad, but generally the rooms are dirty and I had a couple minor items stolen from my room and bag in the kitchen. I guess it depends on who you room with.

Sinead was great for organising our room for additional nights by reshuffling. Its above a pub so its a little noisy late at night. Most people staying here are young and partying but were all friendly. Im 28 and felt like a bit of a grandad :-)
