Word up benders. This is Tim Fuller, obviously, and I am about to hit you with some knowledge about why the Ritz is THE place to stay in Melbourne. When I wasn't chowing down the free pancakes or paying my rent playing online poker on the Ritz free wifi, I was slamming girls from all over the world. On Tuesdays the Ritz splashes out on free wine and cheese, so the girls are wet and ready from the word go. I'd know ;). So do yourselves a favour and book in at the Ritz, my penis needs a rest!

Great hostel, near to the beach but a bit far from the town. Good common areas and kitchen, and the free pancakes were awesome. Definitly a party hostel, so don't come here if you just want to sleep. Limited hot water! But overall a nice place

The Ritz is awesome! Leaving it is like leaving home. The atmosphere is very familiar, people and staff are very nice! If I am going back to Melbourne, I would definitely go back to the Ritz. If you need to get up early it´s quiet hard, because the people do party nearly every day. The bathroom is clean, but I never used the shower without wearing my flip-flops. The bedrooms are mostly clean, but if your roommate sleeps long, the staff is not able to clean it up. The pancakes are delicious!

This hostel has to be one of the worst hostels I've ever experienced. Due to the fact, fire alarms would go off during early hours of the morning because people would be smoking. Toilets were vile & so were the showers. One member of staff hadn't a clue on what to do & couldn't manage half the guys in the hostel when it got out of control. 'FREE WIFI', not available, doesn't work. Very noisy, able to hear everything from walking past a dorm & dirty antics that happen during the night!

If you stay in the front room all you can hear all night are the people in the pub downstairs... but what can you do! just go have a drink with them!

Cosider it was during an event and I got a 3-bed-dorm, the price is pretty good, and the staff are helpful.

AMAZING!!!! Seriously the best hostel ever! Staff, guests, everything was just perfect. Free Wifi works a bit on and off but mostly i didn't have any problems with it. Pancake breakfast was super cool!

the staff were excellent, security was good and so was the location ... the only negative was that the room was a little dirty.

Breakfast is very good. Location is good to go to the beach, but further if you want to go in town every day. Might have found a couple of bugs in the rooms. Staff is very nice also. Thanks to Sabrina for everything.

The hostel was shocking!!! We were put in a room that we payed $37.50 each a night and the beds concaved in in the middle!! The night we stayed, the pub downstairs had live music and it literally felt like the band were in our room!! The noise was horrible! It wasn't just the bass you could feel, you could Hear the singing and music as clear as day! We both woke up with headaches, once we'd finally got to sleep!!!!!!! The only decent thing was the free BBQ at the evening and the free pancakes!
