Comfy bed, clean, good kitchen. But I had a weird experience with breakfast. Spanish speaking guy staff member was rude and ignored me, I asked for a cake thing, there was already a piece sliced. He cut it in half again and gave it to me. It was literally the width of 2 of my fingers (and I have small hands) not really worth €2 and not enough for breakfast. Self serve breakfast would be better.
The hostel itself is very nice - clean rooms, comfortable workspace, good wifi, etc. It did take them a long time to allow us to check in despite the fact that we had a reservation (and once we finally got our keys, one bed still wasn't ready), but I believe the cleaning crew was just short-staffed the night we visited. Great location right in historic center of city. Would stay there again.
A great hostel in a great location. Spacious, clean and plenty of hot water. Great value for money. Only negative was it said there were hair driers for hire and wgen I asked the only one there was needed an adaptor that they didn't have. Also there weren't any individual night lights . I arrived during the night and didn't want to disturb anyone by putting the room light on. It was a bit difficult making my bunk with the light off my mobile phone. But all in all a great place to stay.
The staff is not so friendly and helpful comparing to the other hostels in this part of spain.
Absolute best hostel I've stayed in in Europe, and I've stayed in 15 in 12 different cities. Wifi- amazing all over even in the rooms. Streamed Netflix no problem. Bathrooms-amazing privacy and the best shower I've had in 4 months in Europe. Cheap drinks at the bar, good people staying there(for the most part), and the kitchen was absolute top quality. Anybody could just walk in the front door which wasn't great but every bed has a huge locker with a lock they give you. BOOK HERE, trust me.
Top notch! Great atmosphere, super location and clean.
This place is nice, clean and spacious. The cafe is convenient downstairs. There was a huge group of kids staying when I was there, which was a bit disappointing as there weren't really many fellow travellers around. It's fine for an overnight stay.
This place is great! I've come back numerous times as I stayed in Valencia for an extended period. Big, clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Storage lockers under beds for all your belongings. Kitchen is big, only stove top available, no oven but well maintained and clean. Can have big groups at times but not to disruptive to the hostel vibe.
We reserved the double room with en-suite bathroom. The room we were assigned to (I think this was a triple room as there was an extra bed) was on a high floor but it was quite bad and not to expectations. Hardly any light, the bathroom was dirty and looked nothing like the other double rooms on the Internet. Quite disappointed for the price of 65€. We complained and were "compensated" by two breakfasts. Staff was friendly but not so useful.

The hostel is new and has cool interior design. The showers are amazing! The top bunks are a bit high and difficult to climb down from.
Excellent location, beautiful hostel and social area and cafe for value of money. Mattresses were comfortable except for the bottom bunks (not good for tall people for your knees and head) Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Very easy to walk from to the city center and bars. Bus close by for beach, river and park across the street. Free walking tours. Did not sleep one night because a youth baseball team was screaming all night, had to go over and ask them to be quiet. But, would recommend!
My first night in this hostel there was a large group of 50+ exchange students who basically took over the hostel and were chanting and cheering for 2+ hours. This made the atmosphere pretty terrible for everyone else. Otherwise the facilities were good and the hostel was clean. Good value.
The River Hostel has a great location: 1) it is a straight line 5-7 minute walk to the metro station. 2) it is just a few steps away from the bus stop 3) It is quite close to the food joints. The 24x7 reception was wonderful since my checking in time ( 2 am in the morning) and my checkout time (next morning 4 am) were quite early but there was always someone available at the reception. The breakfast was great for 2 euros. The beds were very comfortable and the atmosphere was great in the cafe.
Very good hostel for a reasonable price. Breakfast was poor, although drinks were cheap :) Big plus for localization! Minus - bathroom wasn't the cleanest...

I had the best time at the river hostel, the staff are lovely, and the general vibe of the place is so relaxed. The rooms are nice, the lockers are great if a little awkward, but very spacious and you don't need a padlock. Great kitchen, bar and common areas, and so cheap!
A really awesome hostel, close to a lot of things and very warm. I met a ton of great people and had a very enjoyable time. The hostel was clean and everyone was very helpful with questions or suggestions. If making a visit to Valencia, definitely worth the stop.
Rooms were flooded with light at night from the streetlights. Staff amazing, but manager lady was rude and unwelcoming. Atmosphere was lacking: people tended yo keep to themselves. Kitchen did not have enough cookware. But its cheap as hell.
Really nice place, really clean and with friendly and helpful staff! Easy to meet people, and very good located, I efinetly recommand it!
