It is the best hostel in the world.

It was a great hostel but defiantly catered to an older audience. It was hard to meet people and due to the fact that people were on their computers there were times where it felt like sitting in a library. The facilities and location were excellent though.

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. It was clean and very homey, and the included breakfast was great. They also do free dinners a few nights a week, which was really nice as well. Friendly staff. Definitely stay here in Cardiff!

Loved staying here! Felt like a home away from home. Everything was clean and the breakfast was a great start to the morning. Would definitely come back to this hostel again and again.

Overall, a great place to stay. It's really well located and the staff were really friendly. It had the best free breakfast I have ever seen and they even had a free pizza night too. The 6 bed dorm was not too bad, the beds were a bit old and squeaky which was annoying. The power points were inconveniently placed and the light was really dim. The common areas were a bit cramped but it was nicely decorated and had a good vibe.

It was my first trip on my own and I wasn't sure if I could manage it safely and have a good time but River House made it both easy and enjoyable. Will definitely stay there again if I should ever be lucky enough to return to Cardiff!

This hostel was OK, just what you expect but nothing more really... Plus: excellent free breakfast, free wifi in rooms, modern shared bathrooms with big showers. Minus: our twin room was super small, we couldn't open both suitcases and walk at the same time. There were two lockers but otherwise we didn't know where to place our stuff, like a nighttable or something. Also, we only got one room key, and towels were only for rent.

Amazing hostel! As they say themselves: Best hostel in the UK! Location is really nice, right next to the beautiful Millennium Stadium. They have a big breakfast with a lot to choose from, 2 tv's with loads of channels, enough places to relax, clean good showers, free maps, internet, free food and drink nights and the 2 owners will do everything to make your stay as nice as possible. Book this one!

This is by far one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, and the facilities are lovely The location is also ideal as it is less than a 5 minute walk to the central bus station and about a 5 minute walk to the city center. The only downside is that the bunk beds are made of metal so they are VERY noisy when people are climbing up and down on them or moving in their sleep.

This hostel is the perfect place in the centre of Cardiff - opposite to the Millenium stadium - to stay a few days here and enjoy the city! Really clean, which is a real plus! The staff is really friendly and the breakfast is amaziiiing! We were a group of 4 and stayed 2 nights. We also took part of a cider-nachos evening at the hostel. Great time, great company.

Great place, not too far from the city center, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night! VERY clean, everyone working there was super friendly. They snacks on site you can purchase, which for someone who has to take meds with food was a huge plus. Definitely recommend, and will definitely stay here next time I visit Cardiff!
