What is there to add when you read all the comments ? Though we only stayed for a night, I really appreciated the location very close to the center and the castle, the staff which is so nice, the room was very clean, the bathroom incredible, and the breakfast as good as a 5 star hotel (no kidding) and for free. If you go to Cardiff, it's the place to stay at !

The hostel is hitherto the best I've stayed in UK. The place was easy to find and very clean. The bathrooms were tidy and comfortable. They have an exceptionally good breakfast service which I enjoyed quite a lot. It was a pity that I stayed there for only 1 night.

I had an exceptionally positive experience with the Riverhouse, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, the amenities were superb, and the atmosphere was quite enjoyable.

One of the best hostels I have ever been (and I`ve been in many of them). The breakfast is amazing! It`s just a littlle bit expensive, but for a short time it`s a great deal.

BEST HOSTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN! Charlie and Abi are an incredible pair - so friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The Riverhouse's facilities are second to none that I have ever stayed in. You really feel like you are a part of the family for the stay and nothing is ever a problem or too much of a hassle for them to organise or chat about. I want to return to Cardiff just for the hostel!

Wow! What a relief after spending 5 weeks staying in dirty, small, uncomfortable hostels (well not ALL of them, but some). The place was exceptionally clean, with a proper, homely, kitchen and comfortable beds (although mine was broken - it was like sleeping in a ditch, but still comfortable). I couldn't feel a single spring :) I would definitely recommend staying here for a break from 'normal' hostel life, while still being in a hostel!

This was one of the cleanest, nicest hostels I've ever stayed at. It's a BnB at hostel prices .The kitchen facilities were excellent for cooking dinner. Perfect for a weekend gettaway. Also nice being a solo traveller they organise different events in the evening so you can gather in the hostel and make friends with other travellers. Definately stay here when in Cardiff.

Very clean everywhere, staff pleasant and helpful, kitchen very well appointed.

Amazing location. Easy to find and it's even listed on the tourist's map. Arrived and greeted by friendly staff and was offered a slice of cake. Excellent hospitality. Every night there is something free for those who are staying. Reception opened 24 hours too. Perfect for people to check in and out early in the morning. One down side is the door lock. Had problem locking n unlocking it, Same thing for my room mates and I could hear other rooms having the same problem.

The shared public bathrooms were a fantastic touch!

Eveything is perfect,we have a wonderful time in Riverhouse. The dinner and the breakfast are free and delicious. We lived in the 6-people dorm,the price is cheap, but the beds are not very comfortable.

This is one of the best hostels in Europe and I have stayed in a few!! I would recommend this to everyone, my stay here was so nice the staff are so nice and could not have been more helpful!

We really enjoyed this hostel. Rooms and toilets were very clean and the atmosohere was nice! especially the breakfast was absolutely fantastic which I've never experienced at anyhostels.
