Excellent clean place, friendly staff, close to everything. Good Breakfest. I'd definitely stay there again when visiting Cardiff.

Due to a misunderstanding in another room completely different to my own, I was abused verbally by a staff member and physically removed from the showers. I had no idea what was happening, I was not even given a chance to speak with staff regarding the issue. It had in no way anything to do with myself or my partner. He was physically man handled down the stairs. I have NEVER had this kind of treatment in a hostel. It turned out it was due to noise. So don't stay here if you want to make any!

LOVED Riverhouse! It's hostels like this that makes you remember a city that might otherwise get lost in the crowd. Staying here felt like staying at a friend's super cool apartment. It was so clean, constantly, and the nightly food tastings were perfect opportunities to socialize with other guests. My only complaint might be that the rooms, except the kitchen, were a little too cold. Otherwise, an all around great stay!

Very nice hostel in the center of Cardiff, situated right across the Millennium Stadium. The personnel is adorable and always ready to help. Numerous animations are proposed during the day. For example we were offered a free tea to meet the other clients. The rooms are very clean, as well as the bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The Riverhouse Backpackers is without doubt the best hostel I've stayed at. The location is perfect - right on the river and super close to Cardiff Central Station. The hostel is clean and very comfortable. The showers are excellent, with lots of privacy. There was an amazing breakfast spread every morning. I never used the kitchen, but it looked clean, new, and well-stocked. Charlie was wonderfully friendly and helpful. I felt very at home and would stay again in a heartbeat.

This is the best hostel ever! Free breakfast, incredibly clean, and amazing up-to-date facilities. The only problem was that the twin bed private room wasn't big enough for both of us to have our suitcases open at the same time. But other than that it was perfection.

I recently stayed at the hostel for a weekend away with 4 friends. The hostel is in a great spot, very handy to town and the coach station. The hostel has great facilities with a nice lounge, kitchen and dinning area. The only downside was that the 6-bed dorm was a tad on the small size so it was a bit cosy .The bathrooms were also really nice and kept very clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Cardiff.

The hostel is inside a private house so it look more a guest house, not really a hostel, but this is not a problem (it actually made it even more cozy) and it was very, very clean. Very central location and easy to reach from both train station and coach station. Towels not included in the price but they cost £2 at the desk. Friendly and helpful staff. I had a good experience and no complaints at all.

Fantastic hostel in a great location. The free breakfast is fantastic, the bathrooms are clean and get hot water, and I have no complaints about the beds. The staff was bet accommodating to all if my needs and I would definitely stay again if I were to return to Cardiff.

Great Hostel! They really make you feel at home. Best breakfast I've ever seen in a hostel! Clean and warm showers. Not a party-hopping place. Really cosy living room to have a beer, watch TV and chat with other travellers. 5-10 minutes walking to Cardiffs major attractions and bars. I wish there were more hostels like this!

Only good things to say, had a great time. Staff are amazing, loved the character of the place. Fantastic location, across the river from the city and stadium. The included breakfast will blow your mind, owners will often put on free dinners and desserts from 7pm every night or two. Highly recommend to stay here! Great value for money.

Everything was nice. Unfortunately the walls are quite thin though and we had some very loud guests with us, so that I didn't get a lot of sleep. The hostel itself however is charming and the staff lovely.
